Then the LORD ^H3068 said ^H559 to Cain ^H7014, “Where ^H335 is Abel ^H1893 your brother ^H251?” And he said ^H559, “I do not know ^H3045. Am I my brother’s ^H251 keeper ^H8104?”

Then Cain ^H7014 left ^H3318 the presence ^H6440 of the LORD ^H3068, and [fn]settled ^H3427 in the land ^H776 of [fn]Nod ^H5113, east ^H6926 of Eden ^H5731.

Cain ^H7014 [fn]had ^H3045 relations ^H3045 with his wife ^H802 and she conceived ^H2029, and gave ^H3205 birth ^H3205 to Enoch ^H2585; and Cain built ^H1129 a city ^H5892, and named ^H7121 H8034 the city ^H5892 Enoch ^H2585, after the name ^H8034 of his son ^H1121.

Lamech ^H3929 said ^H559 to his wives ^H802,

“Adah ^H5711 and Zillah ^H6741,

Listen ^H8085 to my voice ^H6963,

You wives ^H802 of Lamech ^H3929,

Pay ^H238 attention ^H238 to my words ^H565,

For I have killed ^H2026 a man ^H376 for wounding ^H6482 me;

And a boy ^H3206 for striking ^H2250 me!

“If ^H3588 Cain ^H7014 is avenged ^H5358 seven times ^H7659,

Then Lamech ^H3929 seventy-seven times ^H7657!”

Adam ^H121 [fn]had ^H3045 relations ^H3045 with his wife ^H802 again ^H5750; and she gave ^H3205 birth ^H3205 to a son ^H1121, and named ^H7121 H8034 him [fn]Seth ^H8352, for, she said, “God ^H430 [fn]has appointed ^H7896 me another ^H312 [fn]child ^H2233 in ^H8478 place ^H8478 of ^H8478 Abel ^H1893, because ^H3588 Cain ^H7014 killed ^H2026 him.”
