Ezekiel 32 :: New American Standard Bible 2020 (NASB20)

‘You [fn]compared ^H1819 yourself to a young ^H3715 lion ^H3715 of the nations ^H1471,

Yet you are like the monster ^H8577 in the seas ^H3220;

And you burst ^H1518 forth ^H1518 in your rivers ^H5104

And muddied ^H1804 the waters ^H4325 with your feet ^H7272

And [fn]fouled ^H7511 their rivers ^H5104.’”

This ^H3541 is ^H3541 what ^H3541 the Lord ^H136 [fn]GOD ^H3068 says ^H559:

“Now I will spread ^H6566 My net ^H7568 over ^H5921 you

With a contingent ^H6951 of many ^H7227 peoples ^H5971,

And they will lift ^H5927 you up ^H5927 in My net ^H2764.

“I will leave ^H5203 you on the land ^H776;

I will hurl ^H2904 you on the [fn]open ^H6440 field ^H7704.

And I will cause all ^H3605 the birds ^H5775 of the sky ^H8064 to [fn]nest ^H7931 on you,

And I will satisfy ^H7646 the animals ^H2416 of the whole ^H3605 earth ^H776 [fn]with you.

“I will lay ^H5414 your flesh ^H1320 on the mountains ^H2022

And fill ^H4390 the valleys ^H1516 with your refuse ^H7419.

“I will also make ^H8248 the land ^H776 drink ^H8248 the discharge ^H6824 of your blood ^H1818

As ^H413 far ^H413 as ^H413 the mountains ^H2022,

And the ravines ^H650 will be full ^H4390 of you.

“And when I extinguish ^H3518 you,

I will cover ^H3680 the heavens ^H8064 and darken ^H6937 their stars ^H3556;

I will cover ^H3680 the sun ^H8121 with a cloud ^H6051

And the moon ^H3394 will not give ^H215 its light ^H216.

“I will also trouble ^H3707 the hearts ^H3820 of many ^H7227 peoples ^H5971 when I bring ^H935 your destruction ^H7667 among the nations ^H1471, into lands ^H776 which ^H834 you have not known ^H3045.

For the Lord ^H136 GOD ^H3068 says ^H559 this ^H3541: “The sword ^H2719 of the king ^H4428 of Babylon ^H894 will [fn]attack ^H935 you.

And they will devastate ^H7703 the pride ^H1347 of Egypt ^H4714,

“Then ^H227 I will make their waters ^H4325 settle ^H8257,

And make their rivers ^H5104 run ^H1980 like oil ^H8081,”

Declares ^H5002 the Lord ^H136 GOD ^H3068.

“When I make ^H5414 the land ^H776 of Egypt ^H4714 a desolation ^H8077,

In the twelfth ^H8147 H6240 year ^H8141, on the fifteenth ^H2568 H6240 of the month ^H2320, the word ^H1697 of the LORD ^H3068 came ^H1961 to me, saying ^H559,

‘Whom ^H4310 do you surpass ^H5276 H4480 in ^H5276 beauty ^H5276?

Go ^H3381 down ^H3381 and make ^H7901 your bed ^H7901 with the uncircumcised ^H6189.’

“They shall fall ^H5307 in the midst ^H8432 of those who are killed ^H2491 by the sword ^H2719. [fn]She is turned ^H5414 over ^H5414 to the sword ^H2719; they have dragged ^H4900 her and all ^H3605 her hordes ^H1995 away ^H4900.

“There ^H8033 also is Edom ^H123, its kings ^H4428 and all ^H3605 its [fn]princes ^H5387, who ^H834 [fn]despite all their might ^H1369 are laid ^H5414 with those killed ^H2491 by the sword ^H2719; they will lie ^H7901 with the uncircumcised ^H6189 and with those who go ^H3381 down ^H3381 to the pit ^H953.

“There ^H8033 also are the [fn]chiefs ^H5257 of the north ^H6828, all ^H3605 of them, and all ^H3605 the Sidonians ^H6722, who ^H834 in spite of the terror ^H2851 resulting from their might ^H1369, in ^H954 shame ^H954 went ^H3381 down ^H3381 with the slain ^H2491.
