“Because ^H3282 your heart ^H3820 is ^H1361 haughty ^H1361

And you have said ^H559, ‘I am a god ^H410,

I sit ^H3427 in the seat ^H4186 of [fn]gods ^H430

In the heart ^H3820 of the seas ^H3220’;

Yet you are a mortal ^H120 and not God ^H410,

Although you make ^H5414 your heart ^H3820 like the heart ^H3820 of God ^H430—

Behold ^H2009, you are wiser ^H2450 than ^H4480 Daniel ^H1840;

There is no ^H3605 H3808 secret ^H5640 that is ^H6004 a ^H6004 match ^H6004 for you!

“By your wisdom ^H2451 and understanding ^H8394

You have acquired ^H6213 riches ^H2428 for yourself

And have acquired ^H6213 gold ^H2091 and silver ^H3701 for your treasuries ^H214.

“By your great ^H7230 wisdom ^H2451, by your trade ^H7404

You have increased ^H7235 your riches ^H2428,

And your heart ^H3824 is ^H1361 haughty ^H1361 because of your riches ^H2428—

Therefore ^H3651 this ^H3541 is ^H3541 what ^H3541 the Lord ^H136 GOD ^H3068 says ^H559:

‘Because ^H3282 you have made ^H5414 your heart ^H3824

Like the heart ^H3820 of God ^H430,

Therefore ^H3651, behold ^H2009, I am going to bring ^H935 strangers ^H2114 against ^H5921 you,

The most ^H6184 ruthless ^H6184 of the nations ^H1471.

And they will draw ^H7324 their swords ^H2719

Against ^H5921 the beauty ^H3308 of your wisdom ^H2451

And profane ^H2490 your splendor ^H3314.

‘They will bring ^H3381 you down ^H3381 to the pit ^H7845,

And you will die ^H4191 the death ^H4463 of those who are killed ^H2491

In the heart ^H3820 of the seas ^H3220.

‘Will you still ^H559 say ^H559, “I am a god ^H430,”

In the presence ^H6440 of one who kills ^H2026 you,

Though you are a mortal ^H120 and not God ^H410,

In the hands ^H3027 of those who wound ^H2490 you?

‘You will die ^H4191 the death ^H4194 of the uncircumcised ^H6189

By the hand ^H3027 of strangers ^H2114,

For I have spoken ^H1696!’ declares ^H5002 the Lord ^H136 GOD ^H3068!”’”

Again the word ^H1697 of the LORD ^H3068 came ^H1961 to me, saying ^H559,

“You [fn]had the seal ^H2856 of [fn]perfection ^H8508,

Full ^H4392 of wisdom ^H2451 and perfect ^H3632 in beauty ^H3308.

“You were in Eden ^H5731, the garden ^H1588 of God ^H430;

Every ^H3605 precious ^H3368 stone ^H68 was your covering ^H4540:

The ruby ^H124, the topaz ^H6357 and the diamond ^H3095;

The beryl ^H8658, the onyx ^H7718 and the jasper ^H3471;

The lapis ^H5601 lazuli ^H5601, the turquoise ^H5306 and the emerald ^H1304;

And the gold ^H2091, the workmanship ^H4399 of your [fn]settings ^H8596 and [fn]sockets ^H5345,

Was in you.

On the day ^H3117 that you were created ^H1254

They were prepared ^H3559.

“You were the anointed ^H4473 cherub ^H3742 who [fn]covers ^H5526,

And I placed ^H5414 you there.

You were on the holy ^H6944 mountain ^H2022 of God ^H430;

You walked ^H1980 in the midst ^H8432 of the stones ^H68 of fire ^H784.

“You were blameless ^H8549 in your ways ^H1870

From the day ^H3117 you were created ^H1254

Until ^H5704 unrighteousness ^H5766 was found ^H4672 in you.

“By the abundance ^H7230 of your trade ^H7404

[fn]You were internally ^H8432 filled ^H4390 with violence ^H2555,

And you sinned ^H2398;

Therefore I have cast ^H2490 you as ^H2490 profane ^H2490

From the mountain ^H2022 of God ^H430.

And I have destroyed ^H6 you, you [fn]covering ^H5526 cherub ^H3742,

From the midst ^H8432 of the stones ^H68 of fire ^H784.

“Your heart ^H3820 was ^H1361 haughty ^H1361 because of your beauty ^H3308;

You corrupted ^H7843 your wisdom ^H2451 by ^H5921 reason ^H5921 of ^H5921 your splendor ^H3314.

I threw ^H7993 you to the ground ^H776;

I put ^H5414 you before ^H6440 kings ^H4428,

That they may see ^H7200 you.

“By the multitude ^H7230 of your wrongdoings ^H5771,

In the unrighteousness ^H5766 of your trade ^H7404

You profaned ^H2490 your sanctuaries ^H4720.

Therefore I have brought ^H3318 fire ^H784 from the midst ^H8432 of you;

It has consumed ^H398 you,

And I have turned ^H5414 you to ashes ^H665 on the earth ^H776

In the eyes ^H5869 of all ^H3605 who see ^H7200 you.

“All ^H3605 who know ^H3045 you among the peoples ^H5971

Are ^H8074 appalled ^H8074 at you;

You have become ^H1961 [fn]terrified ^H1091

And you will cease ^H369 to be forever ^H5704 H5769.”’”

And the word ^H1697 of the LORD ^H3068 came ^H1961 to me, saying ^H559,

“Behold ^H2009, I am against ^H5921 you, Sidon ^H6721,

And I will appear ^H3513 in ^H3513 My glory ^H3513 in your midst ^H8432.

Then they will know ^H3045 that I am the LORD ^H3068, when I execute ^H6213 judgments ^H8201 against her,

And I will reveal ^H6942 Myself as ^H6942 holy ^H6942 in her.

“For I will send ^H7971 a plague ^H1698 to her

And blood ^H1818 to her streets ^H2351,

And the wounded ^H2491 will [fn]fall ^H5307 in her midst ^H8432

By the sword ^H2719 upon her on every ^H5439 side ^H5439;

Then they will know ^H3045 that I am the LORD ^H3068.

“And there will no ^H3808 longer ^H5750 be for the house ^H1004 of Israel ^H3478 a painful ^H3992 thorn ^H5544 or a hurtful ^H3510 thorn ^H6975 bush ^H6975 from any ^H3605 surrounding ^H5439 them who despised ^H7751 them; then they will know ^H3045 that I am the Lord ^H136 GOD ^H3068.”

‘This ^H3541 is ^H3541 what ^H3541 the Lord ^H136 GOD ^H3068 says ^H559: “When I gather ^H6908 the house ^H1004 of Israel ^H3478 from the peoples ^H5971 among whom ^H834 they are scattered ^H6327, and show ^H6942 Myself holy ^H6942 among them in the sight ^H5869 of the nations ^H1471, then they will live ^H3427 on their land ^H127 which ^H834 I gave ^H5414 to My servant ^H5650 Jacob ^H3290.
