The Prophet’s Call

Then He said^H559 to me, “Son^H1121 of man^H120, stand^H5975 on your feet^H7272, and I will speak^H1696 with you.”

Eze 2:2And as He spoke to me the Spirit entered me and set me on my feet; and I heard Him speaking to me.

Eze 2:3Then He said to me, “Son of man, I am sending you to the sons of Israel, to a rebellious people who have rebelled against Me; they and their fathers have revolted against Me to this very day.

Eze 2:4

Eze 2:4“So I am sending you to those who are [fn]impudent and obstinate children, and you shall say to them, ‘This is what the Lord [fn]GOD says:’

Eze 2:5

Eze 2:5“As for them, whether they listen or [fn]not—for they are a rebellious house—they will know that a prophet has been among them.

Eze 2:6

Eze 2:6“And as for you, son of man, you are not to fear them nor fear their words, though thistles and thorns are with you and you sit on scorpions; you are not to fear their words nor be dismayed at their presence, since they are a rebellious house.

Eze 2:7

Eze 2:7“But you shall speak My words to them whether they listen or [fn]not, for they are rebellious.

Eze 2:8

“Now you, son^H1121 of man^H120, listen^H8085 to what^H834 I am speaking^H1696 to you; do not be rebellious^H4805 like that rebellious^H4805 house^H1004. Open^H6475 your mouth^H6310 wide^H6475 and eat^H398 what^H834 I am giving^H5414 you.”

Eze 2:9

Eze 2:9Then I looked, and behold, a hand was extended to me; and behold, a [fn]scroll was in it.

Eze 2:10

Eze 2:10When He spread it out before me, it was written on the front and back, and written on it were songs of mourning, sighing, and woe.
