The Skilled Craftsmen

(Exo 35:30—36:1 )

Now the LORD^H3068 spoke^H1696 to Moses^H4872, saying^H559,

Exo 31:2“See, I have called by name Bezalel, the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah.

Exo 31:3“And I have filled him with the Spirit of God in wisdom, in understanding, in knowledge, and in all kinds of [fn]craftsmanship,

Exo 31:4

Exo 31:4to create [fn]artistic designs for work in gold, in silver, and in [fn]bronze,

Exo 31:5

Exo 31:5and in the cutting of stones [fn]for settings, and in the carving of wood, so that he may work in all kinds of [fn]craftsmanship.

Exo 31:6

Exo 31:6“And behold, I Myself have [fn]appointed with him Oholiab, the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan; and in the hearts of all who are [fn]skillful I have put [fn]skill, so that they may make everything that I have commanded you:

Exo 31:7

Exo 31:7the tent of meeting, the ark of testimony, the [fn]atoning cover that is on it, and all the furniture of the tent,

Exo 31:8

Exo 31:8the table and its [fn]utensils, the pure gold lampstand with all its [fn]utensils, and the altar of incense,

Exo 31:9

Exo 31:9the altar of burnt offering with all its [fn]utensils, and the basin and its stand,

Exo 31:10

Exo 31:10the [fn]woven garments as well: the holy garments for Aaron the priest and the garments of his sons, with which to [fn]carry out their priesthood;

Exo 31:11

Exo 31:11the anointing oil also, and the fragrant incense for the Holy Place, they are to make them according to everything that I have commanded you.”

The Sign of the Sabbath

Exo 31:12

Now the LORD^H3068 spoke^H559 to Moses^H4872, saying^H559,

Exo 31:13

Exo 31:13“Now as for you, speak to the sons of Israel, saying, ‘You must keep My Sabbaths; for this is a sign between Me and you throughout your generations, so that you may know that I am the LORD who sanctifies you.

Exo 31:14

Exo 31:14‘Therefore you are to keep the Sabbath, for it is holy to you. Everyone who profanes it must be put to death; for whoever does any work on it, that person shall be cut off from among his people.

Exo 31:15

Exo 31:15‘For six days work may be done, but on the seventh day there is a Sabbath of complete rest, holy to the LORD; whoever does any work on the Sabbath day must be put to death.

Exo 31:16

Exo 31:16‘So the sons of Israel shall keep the Sabbath, to [fn]celebrate the Sabbath throughout their generations as a permanent covenant.’

Exo 31:17

Exo 31:17“It is a sign between Me and the sons of Israel forever; for in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, but on the seventh day He ceased from labor, and was refreshed.”

Exo 31:18

When He had finished^H3615 speaking^H1696 with him on Mount^H2022 Sinai^H5514, He gave^H5414 Moses^H4872 the two^H8147 tablets^H3871 of the testimony^H5715, tablets^H3871 of stone^H68, written^H3789 by the finger^H676 of God^H430.
