Exo 23:2

Exo 23:2“You shall not follow [fn]the crowd in doing evil, nor shall you [fn]testify in a dispute so as to join together with [fn]a crowd in order to pervert justice;

Exo 23:3

Exo 23:3nor shall you [fn]show favor to a poor person in his dispute.

Exo 23:4

“If^H3588 you encounter^H6293 your enemy’s^H340 ox^H7794 or^H176 his donkey^H2543 wandering^H8582 away^H8582, you must^H7725 return^H7725 it to him.

Exo 23:5

Exo 23:5“If you see the donkey of one who hates you lying helpless under its load, you shall not leave it helpless for [fn]its owner; you must arrange the load with him.

Exo 23:6

“You shall not pervert^H5186 the justice^H4941 due to your needy^H34 brother in his dispute^H7379.

Exo 23:7

Exo 23:7“Keep far from a false charge, and do not kill the innocent or the righteous, for I will not acquit the guilty.

Exo 23:8

“You shall not take^H3947 a bribe^H7810, for a bribe^H7810 blinds^H5786 the clear-sighted^H6493 and [fn]subverts^H5557 the cause^H1697 of the just^H6662.

Exo 23:9

“You shall not oppress^H3905 a stranger^H1616, since you yourselves^H859 know^H3045 the [fn]feelings^H5315 of a stranger^H1616, for you also were strangers^H1616 in the land^H776 of Egypt^H4714.

Exo 23:10

“Now you shall sow^H2232 your land^H776 for six^H8337 years^H8141 and gather^H622 in^H622 its yield^H8393,

Exo 23:11

Exo 23:11but in the seventh year you shall let it [fn]rest and lie uncultivated, so that the needy of your people may eat; and whatever they leave the animal of the field may eat. You are to do the same with your vineyard and your olive grove.

Exo 23:12

“For six^H8337 days^H3117 you are to do^H6213 your work^H4639, but on the seventh^H7637 day^H3117 you shall cease^H7673 from labor so^H4616 that^H4616 your ox^H7794 and your donkey^H2543 may rest^H5117, and the son^H1121 of your female^H519 slave^H519, as well as the stranger^H1616 residing with you, may refresh^H5314 themselves.

Exo 23:13

Exo 23:13“Now concerning everything which I have said to you, be careful; and do not mention the name of other gods, nor let them be heard [fn]from your mouth.

Exo 23:14

“Three^H7969 times^H7272 a year^H8141 you shall celebrate^H2287 a^H2287 feast^H2287 to Me.

Exo 23:15

Exo 23:15“You shall keep the Feast of Unleavened Bread; for seven days you are to eat unleavened bread, as I commanded you, at the appointed time in the month of Abib, for in [fn]that month you came out of Egypt. And [fn]no one is to appear before Me empty-handed.

Exo 23:16

Exo 23:16“Also you shall keep the Feast of the Harvest of the first fruits of your labors from what you sow in the field; also the Feast of the Ingathering at the end of the year when you gather in the fruit of your labors from the field.

Exo 23:17

Exo 23:17“Three times a year all your males shall appear before the Lord [fn]GOD.

Exo 23:18

“You shall not offer^H2076 the blood^H1818 of My sacrifice^H2077 with leavened^H2557 bread^H2557; nor^H3808 is the fat^H2459 of My [fn]feast^H2282 to remain^H3885 overnight^H3885 until^H5704 morning^H1242.

Exo 23:19

“You shall bring^H935 the choice^H7225 first^H1061 fruits^H1061 of your soil^H127 into the house^H1004 of the LORD^H3068 your God^H430.

“You are not to boil^H1310 a young^H1423 goat^H1423 in the milk^H2461 of its mother^H517.

Exo 23:20

“Behold^H2009, I am going to send^H7971 an angel^H4397 before^H6440 you to guard^H8104 you along the way^H1870 and to bring^H935 you into the place^H4725 which^H834 I have prepared^H3559.

Exo 23:21

Exo 23:21“Be attentive to him and obey his voice; do not be rebellious toward him, for he will not pardon your rebellion, since My name is in him.

Exo 23:22

Exo 23:22“But if you truly obey his voice and do all that I say, then I will be an enemy to your enemies and an adversary to your adversaries.

Exo 23:23

Exo 23:23“For My angel will go before you and bring you into the land of the Amorites, the Hittites, the Perizzites, the Canaanites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites; and I will completely destroy them.

Exo 23:24

Exo 23:24“You shall not worship their gods, nor serve them, nor do according to their deeds; but you shall utterly overthrow them and break their memorial stones in pieces.

Exo 23:25

Exo 23:25“And you shall serve the LORD your God, [fn]and He will bless your bread and your water; and I will remove sickness from your midst.

Exo 23:26

Exo 23:26“There will be no one miscarrying or unable to have children in your land; I will fulfill the number of your days.

Exo 23:27

Exo 23:27“I will send My terror ahead of you, and throw into confusion all the people among whom you come, and I will make all your enemies turn their backs to you.

Exo 23:28

Exo 23:28“And I will send hornets ahead of you so that they will drive out the Hivites, the Canaanites, and the Hittites from you.

Exo 23:29

Exo 23:29“I will not drive them out from you in a single year, so that the land will not become desolate and the animals of the field become too numerous for you.

Exo 23:30

Exo 23:30“I will drive them out from you little by little, until you become fruitful and take possession of the land.

Exo 23:31

Exo 23:31“I will set your boundary from the [fn]Red Sea to the sea of the Philistines, and from the wilderness to the Euphrates River; for I will hand over the inhabitants of the land to you, and you will drive them out from you.

Exo 23:32

Exo 23:32“You shall [fn]make no covenant with them or with their gods.

Exo 23:33

Exo 23:33“They shall not live in your land, otherwise they will make you sin against Me; for if you serve their gods, it is certain to be a snare to you.”
