Put On the New Self

Col 3:2

Col 3:2 [fn]Set your minds on the things that are above, not on the things that are on earth.

Col 3:3

Col 3:3For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.

Col 3:4

Col 3:4When Christ, who is our life, is revealed, then you also will be revealed with Him in glory.

Col 3:5

Therefore^G3767, [fn]treat^G3499 the parts^G3196 of your earthly^G1093 body as^G3499 dead^G3499 to sexual^G4202 immorality^G4202, impurity^G167, passion^G3806, evil^G2556 desire^G1939, and greed^G4124, which^G3748 [fn]amounts^G1510 to idolatry^G1495.

Col 3:6

Col 3:6For it is because of these things that the wrath of God is coming [fn]upon the [fn]sons of disobedience,

Col 3:7and in them you also once walked, when you were living [fn]in them.

Col 3:8But now you also, rid yourselves of all of them: anger, wrath, malice, slander, and obscene speech from your mouth.

Col 3:9 [fn]Do not lie to one another, since you stripped off the old [fn]self with its evil practices,

Col 3:10and have put on the new self, which is being [fn]renewed to a true knowledge according to the image of the One who created it—

Col 3:11

Col 3:11a renewal in which there is no distinction between Greek and Jew, circumcised and uncircumcised, [fn]barbarian, [fn]Scythian, slave, and free, but Christ is all, and in all.

Col 3:12

Col 3:13

Col 3:13bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, whoever has a complaint against anyone; just as the Lord forgave you, so must you do also.

Col 3:14

Col 3:14In addition to all these things put on love, which is [fn]the perfect bond of unity.

Col 3:15

Col 3:15Let the peace of Christ, to which you were [fn]indeed called in one body, [fn]rule in your hearts; and [fn]be thankful.

Col 3:16

Col 3:16Let the word of [fn]Christ richly dwell within you, [fn]with all wisdom teaching and admonishing [fn]one another with psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, singing with thankfulness in your hearts to God.

Col 3:17

Col 3:17Whatever you do in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through Him to God the Father.

Col 3:23

Col 3:23Whatever you do, do your work [fn]heartily, as for the Lord and not for people,

Col 3:24

Col 3:24knowing that it is from the Lord that you will receive the reward [fn]of the inheritance. It is the Lord Christ whom you serve.

Col 3:25

Col 3:25For the one who does wrong will receive the consequences of the wrong which he has done, and [fn]that without partiality.
