2Th 1:2Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

2Th 1:3

We ought^G3784 always^G3842 to give^G2168 thanks^G2168 to God^G2316 for you, brothers^G80 and sisters, as is only fitting^G514, because^G3754 your faith^G4102 is increasing^G5232 abundantly^G5232, and the love^G26 of each^G1538 and every^G3956 one^G1520 of you toward^G1519 one^G240 another^G240 grows^G4121 ever greater^G4121.

2Th 1:4

2Th 1:4As a result, we ourselves speak proudly of you among the churches of God for your [fn]perseverance and faith [fn]in the midst of all your persecutions and afflictions which you endure.

2Th 1:5

2Th 1:5This is [fn]a plain indication of God’s righteous judgment so that you will be considered worthy of the kingdom of God, for which you indeed are suffering.

2Th 1:6

2Th 1:6 [fn]For after all it is only right [fn]for God to repay with affliction those who afflict you,

2Th 1:7

2Th 1:7and to give relief to you who are afflicted, along with us, [fn]when the Lord Jesus will be revealed from heaven with [fn]His mighty angels

2Th 1:8

2Th 1:8in flaming fire, dealing out retribution to those who do not know God, and to those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus.

2Th 1:9

2Th 1:9These people will pay the penalty of eternal destruction, away from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His power,

2Th 1:10

2Th 1:10when He comes to be glorified among His [fn]saints on that day, and to be marveled at among all who have believed—because our testimony to you was believed.

2Th 1:11

2Th 1:11To this end also we pray for you always, that our God will consider you worthy of your calling, and fulfill every desire for goodness and the work of faith with power,

2Th 1:12

2Th 1:12so that the name of our Lord Jesus will be glorified in you, and you in Him, in accordance with the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.
