Four Chariots

Then I lifted^H5375 up^H5375 my eyes^H5869 again^H7725 and saw^H7200, and behold^H2009, four^H702 chariots^H4818 were coming^H3318 forth^H3318 from between^H996 the two^H8147 mountains^H2022; and the mountains^H2022 were bronze^H5178 mountains^H2022.

Zec 6:2

Zec 6:2With the first chariot were red horses, with the second chariot black horses,

Zec 6:3

Zec 6:3with the third chariot white horses, and with the fourth chariot dappled horses—all of them mighty.

Zec 6:4

Zec 6:4Then I answered and said to the angel who was speaking with me, “What are these, my lord?”

Zec 6:5

Zec 6:5And the angel answered and said to me, “These are the four spirits of heaven, going forth after standing before the Lord of all the earth,

Zec 6:6

Zec 6:6with one of which the black horses are going forth to the north country; and the white ones go forth after them, and the dappled ones go forth to the south country.

Zec 6:7

Zec 6:7“Now the mighty ones went out, and they sought to go to [fn]patrol the earth.” And He said, “Go, [fn]patrol the earth.” So they [fn]patrolled the earth.

Zec 6:8

Zec 6:8Then He cried out to me and spoke to me saying, “See, those who are going to the land of the north have caused My Spirit to have rest in the land of the north.”

The Crown and the Temple

Zec 6:9

And the word^H1697 of Yahweh^H3068 came^H1961 to me, saying^H559,

Zec 6:10

Zec 6:10“Take an offering from the exiles, from Heldai, Tobijah, and Jedaiah; and you come the same day and come into the house of Josiah the son of Zephaniah, where they have come from Babylon.

Zec 6:11

Zec 6:11“And take silver and gold, make an ornate crown, and set it on the head of Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest.

Zec 6:12

Zec 6:12“Then you will say to him, ‘Thus says Yahweh of hosts, “Behold, a man whose name is [fn]Branch, and He will [fn]branch out from where He is; and He will build the temple of Yahweh.

Zec 6:13

Zec 6:13“Indeed, it is He who will build the temple of Yahweh, and He who will bear the splendor and sit and rule on His throne. Thus, He will be a priest on His throne, and the counsel of peace will be between the two [fn]offices.”’

Zec 6:14

Zec 6:14“Now the crown will become a memorial in the temple of Yahweh to Helem, Tobijah, Jedaiah, and [fn]Hen the son of Zephaniah.

Zec 6:15

Zec 6:15“And those who are far off will come and [fn]build the temple of Yahweh.” Then you will know that Yahweh of hosts has sent me to you. And it will happen if you utterly listen to the voice of Yahweh your God.
