A Flying Scroll

Then I lifted^H5375 up^H5375 my eyes^H5869 again^H7725 and saw^H7200, and behold^H2009, a flying^H5774 scroll^H4039.

Zec 5:2And he said to me, “What do you see?” And I said, “I see a flying scroll; its length is [fn]twenty cubits and its width ten cubits.”

Zec 5:3

Zec 5:3Then he said to me, “This is the curse that is going forth over the face of the whole [fn]land; surely everyone who steals will be [fn]purged away according to [fn]the writing on one side, and everyone who swears will be [fn]purged away according to the writing on the other side.

Zec 5:4

Zec 5:4“I will make it go forth,” declares Yahweh of hosts, “and it will enter the house of the thief and the house of the one who swears falsely by My name; and it will spend the night within that house and consume it with its timber and stones.”

A Woman in an Ephah

Zec 5:5

Then the angel^H4397 who was speaking^H1696 with me went^H3318 out^H3318 and said^H559 to me, “Lift^H5375 up^H5375 now^H4994 your eyes^H5869 and see^H7200 what^H4100 this^H2088 is going^H3318 forth^H3318.”

Zec 5:6

Zec 5:6So I said, “What is it?” And he said, “This is the [fn]ephah going forth.” Again he said, “This is their [fn]appearance in all the [fn]land

Zec 5:7

Zec 5:7(and behold, a lead cover was lifted up); and this is a woman sitting inside the ephah.”

Zec 5:8

Zec 5:8Then he said, “This is Wickedness!” And he threw her down into the middle of the ephah and threw the lead weight on its [fn]opening.

Zec 5:9

Zec 5:9Then I lifted up my eyes and saw, and behold, two women were coming out with the wind in their wings; and they had wings like the wings of a stork, and they lifted up the ephah between the earth and the heavens.
