The Spirit of God Dwells in You

Therefore^G686 there is now^G3568 no^G3762 condemnation^G2631 for those^G3588 who are in Christ^G5547 Jesus^G2424.

Rom 8:2For the law of the Spirit of life [fn]in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death.

Rom 8:3For what the Law could not do, [fn]weak as it was through the flesh, God did: sending His own Son in the likeness of [fn]sinful flesh and as an offering for sin, He condemned sin in the flesh,

Rom 8:4

Rom 8:4so that the righteous requirement of the Law might be fulfilled in us, who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.

Rom 8:5

Rom 8:5For those who are according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who are according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit.

Rom 8:6

Rom 8:6For the mind set on the flesh is death, but the mind set on the Spirit is life and peace,

Rom 8:7

Rom 8:7because the mind set on the flesh is at enmity toward God, for it does not subject itself to the law of God, for it is not even able to do so,

Rom 8:8

Rom 8:8and those who are in the flesh are not able to please God.

Rom 8:9

However^G1161, you are not in the flesh^G4561 but in the Spirit^G4151, if^G1512 indeed^G1512 the Spirit^G4151 of God^G2316 dwells^G3611 in you. But if^G1487 anyone^G5100 does not have^G2192 the Spirit^G4151 of Christ^G5547, he does not belong^G1510 to Him.

Rom 8:10

Rom 8:10But if Christ is in you, though the body is dead because of sin, yet the spirit is [fn]alive because of righteousness.

Rom 8:11

Rom 8:11But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies [fn]through His Spirit who dwells in you.

Rom 8:12

So^G686 then^G686, brothers^G80, we are under^G3781 obligation^G3781, not to the flesh^G4561, to live^G2198 according^G2596 to the flesh^G4561—

Rom 8:13

Rom 8:13for if you are living according to the flesh, you [fn]must die, but if by the Spirit you are putting to death the practices of the body, you will live.

Rom 8:14

Rom 8:14For as many as are being led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.

Rom 8:15

Rom 8:15For you have not received a spirit of slavery [fn]leading to fear again, but you have received the Spirit of adoption as sons by whom we cry out, “Abba! Father!”

Rom 8:16

Rom 8:16The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are children of God,

Rom 8:17

Rom 8:17and if children, also heirs, heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him so that we may also be glorified with Him.

Present Suffering and Future Glory

Rom 8:18

For I consider^G3049 that the sufferings^G3804 of this^G3588 present^G3568 time^G2540 are not worthy^G514 to be compared with the glory^G1391 that is to be revealed^G601 to us.

Rom 8:19

Rom 8:19For the anxious longing of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God.

Rom 8:20

Rom 8:20For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it, in hope

Rom 8:21

Rom 8:21 [fn]that the creation itself also will be set free from its slavery to corruption into the freedom of the glory of the children of God.

Rom 8:22

Rom 8:22For we know that the whole creation groans and suffers the pains of childbirth together until now.

Rom 8:23

Rom 8:23And not only this, but also we ourselves, having the first fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, eagerly waiting for our adoption as sons, the redemption of our body.

Rom 8:24

Rom 8:24For in hope we were saved, but hope that is seen is not hope, for who hopes for what he already sees?

Rom 8:25

Rom 8:25But if we hope for what we do not see, with perseverance we eagerly wait for it.

Rom 8:26

And in the same^G5615 way^G5615 the Spirit^G4151 also^G2532 helps^G4878 our weakness^G769, for we do not know^G6063 how^G5101 to pray^G4336 as we should^G1163, but the Spirit^G4151 Himself^G846 intercedes^G5241 for us with groanings^G4726 too^G215 deep^G215 for words^G215;

Rom 8:27

Rom 8:27and He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He intercedes for the [fn]saints according to the will of God.

Rom 8:28

And we know^G6063 that for those^G3588 who love^G25 God^G2316 [fn]all^G3956 things^G3956 work^G4903 together^G4903 for good^G18, for those^G3588 who are called^G2822 according^G2596 to His purpose^G4286.

Rom 8:29

Rom 8:29Because those whom He foreknew, He also predestined to become conformed to the image of His Son, so that He would be the firstborn among many brothers;

Rom 8:30

Rom 8:30and those whom He predestined, He also called; and those whom He called, He also justified; and those whom He justified, He also glorified.

God Is for Us

Rom 8:31

What^G5101 then^G3767 shall we say^G3004 to these^G3778 things^G3778? If^G1487 God^G2316 is for us, who^G5101 is against^G2596 us?

Rom 8:32

Rom 8:32He who indeed did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him over for us all, how will He not also with Him graciously give us all things?

Rom 8:33

Rom 8:33Who will bring a charge against God’s elect? God is the one who justifies;

Rom 8:34

Rom 8:34who is the one who condemns? Christ Jesus is He who died, yes, rather who was [fn]raised, who is at the right hand of God, who also intercedes for us.
