Bearing the Weaknesses of Others

Now^G1161 we who are strong^G1415 ought^G3784 to bear^G941 the weaknesses^G771 of those^G3588 without^G102 strength^G102 and not just please^G700 ourselves^G1438.

Rom 15:2

Rom 15:2Each of us is to please his neighbor [fn]for his good, to his building up.

Rom 15:3

Rom 15:3For even Christ did not please Himself; but as it is written, “THE REPROACHES OF THOSE WHO REPROACHED YOU FELL ON ME.”

Rom 15:4

Rom 15:4For whatever was written in earlier times was written for our instruction, so that through the perseverance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope.

Rom 15:5

Rom 15:5Now may the God of perseverance and encouragement grant you to be of the same mind with one another according to Christ Jesus,

Rom 15:6

Rom 15:6so that with one accord you may with one [fn]voice glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Rom 15:7

Rom 15:8For I say that Christ has become a servant to the circumcision on behalf of the truth of God to confirm the promises given to the fathers,

Rom 15:9and for the Gentiles to glorify God for His mercy; as it is written,

“THEREFORE^G1223^G3778 I WILL [fn]GIVE^G1843 PRAISE^G1843 TO YOU AMONG^G1722 THE GENTILES^G1484,

AND I WILL SING^G5567 TO YOUR NAME^G3686.”

Rom 15:10

And again^G3825 he says^G3004,

“REJOICE^G2165, O GENTILES^G1484, WITH HIS PEOPLE^G2992.”

Rom 15:11

And again^G3825,

“PRAISE^G134 THE [fn]LORD^G2962 ALL^G3956 YOU GENTILES^G1484,

AND LET ALL^G3956 THE PEOPLES^G2992 PRAISE^G1867 HIM.”

Rom 15:12

And again^G3825 Isaiah^G2268 says^G3004,

“THERE SHALL COME^G1510 THE ROOT^G4491 OF JESSE^G2421,

AND HE WHO ARISES^G450 TO RULE^G757 OVER THE GENTILES^G1484,

IN HIM SHALL THE GENTILES^G1484 HOPE^G1679.”

Rom 15:13

Now^G1161 may the God^G2316 of hope^G1680 fill^G4137 you with all^G3956 joy^G5479 and peace^G1515 in believing^G4100, so^G1519 that you will abound^G4052 in hope^G1680 by the power^G1411 of the Holy^G40 Spirit^G4151.

Rom 15:14

Rom 15:15

Rom 15:15But I have written very boldly to you on some points so as to remind you again, because of the grace that was given me [fn]by God

Rom 15:16

Rom 15:16for me to be a minister of Christ Jesus to the Gentiles, ministering as a priest the gospel of God, so that my offering of the Gentiles may become acceptable, having been sanctified by the Holy Spirit.

Rom 15:17Therefore in Christ Jesus I have reason for boasting in things pertaining to God.

Rom 15:18For I will not be bold to speak of anything [fn]except what Christ has brought about through me, [fn]leading to the obedience of the Gentiles by word and deed,

Rom 15:19in the power of [fn]signs and wonders, in the power of the Spirit; so that from Jerusalem and all around as far as Illyricum I have [fn]fully preached the gospel of Christ.

Rom 15:20And in this way I make it my ambition to proclaim the gospel, not where Christ was already named, so that I would not build on another man’s foundation;

Rom 15:21but as it is written,

Rom 15:23but now, with no further place for me in these regions, and since I have had for many years a longing to come to you

Rom 15:24whenever I go to Spain—for I hope, passing through, to see you, and to be helped on my way there by you, when I have first enjoyed your company [fn]for a while.

Rom 15:25But now I am going to Jerusalem to serve the [fn]saints.

Rom 15:26For Macedonia and Achaia were pleased to [fn]share with the poor among the saints in Jerusalem.

Rom 15:27

Rom 15:27Yes, they were pleased to do so, and they are indebted to them. For if the Gentiles have shared in their spiritual things, they are indebted to minister to them also in material things.

Rom 15:28

Rom 15:28Therefore, when I have completed this and have [fn]put my seal on this fruit of theirs, I will go on by way of you to Spain.

Rom 15:29

Rom 15:29And I know that when I come to you, I will come in the fullness of the blessing of Christ.
