A Living and Holy Sacrifice

Therefore^G3767 I exhort^G3870 you, brothers^G80, by the mercies^G3628 of God^G2316, to present^G3936 your bodies^G4983 as a sacrifice^G2378—living^G2198, holy^G40, and pleasing^G2101 to God^G2316, which is your [fn]spiritual^G3050 service^G2999 of^G2999 worship^G2999.

Rom 12:2

Rom 12:2And do not be conformed to this [fn]world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may approve what the will of God is, that which is good and pleasing and [fn]perfect.

Rom 12:3

For through^G1223 the grace^G5485 given^G1325 to me I say^G3004 to each^G3956 one among^G1722 you not to think^G5252 more^G5252 highly^G5252 of himself than^G3844 he ought^G1163 to think^G5426; but to think^G5426 so^G1519 as to have^G4993 sound^G4993 thinking^G4993, as God^G2316 has allotted^G3307 to each^G1538 a measure^G3358 of faith^G4102.

Rom 12:4

Rom 12:4For just as we have many members in one body and all the members do not have the same function,

Rom 12:5

Rom 12:5so we, who are many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another,

Rom 12:6

Rom 12:6but having gifts that differ according to the grace given to us: whether prophecy, [fn]in agreement with the faith;

Rom 12:7or [fn]service, in his serving; or he who teaches, in his teaching;

Rom 12:8

Rom 12:8or he who exhorts, in his exhortation; he who gives, with [fn]generosity; he who [fn]leads, with diligence; he who shows mercy, with cheerfulness.

Rom 12:9

Let love^G26 be without^G505 hypocrisy^G505—by abhorring^G655 what^G4190 is^G4190 evil^G4190, clinging^G2853 to what^G18 is^G18 good^G18,

Rom 12:10

Rom 12:10being devoted to one another in brotherly love, [fn]giving preference to one another in honor,

Rom 12:11

Rom 12:11not lagging behind in diligence, being fervent in spirit, serving the Lord,

Rom 12:12

Rom 12:12rejoicing in hope, persevering in affliction, being devoted to prayer,

Rom 12:13

Rom 12:13contributing to the needs of the [fn]saints, pursuing hospitality.

Rom 12:14

Bless^G2127 those^G3588 who persecute^G1377 [fn]you; bless^G2127, and do not curse^G2672.

Rom 12:15

Rom 12:15Rejoice with those who rejoice; weep with those who weep,

Rom 12:16

Rom 12:16by being of the same mind toward one another, not being haughty in mind, but [fn]associating with the humble. Do not be wise in your own mind.

Rom 12:17

Rom 12:17Never paying back evil for evil to anyone, [fn]respecting what is good in the sight of all men,

Rom 12:18

Rom 12:18if possible, so far as it depends on you, being at peace with all men,

Rom 12:19

Rom 12:19never taking your own revenge, beloved—instead [fn]leave room for the wrath of God. For it is written, “VENGEANCE IS MINE, I WILL REPAY,” says the Lord.
