The Seven Bowls of God’s Wrath

Then^G2532 I heard^G191 a loud^G3173 voice^G5456 from the sanctuary^G3485, saying^G3004 to the seven^G2033 angels^G32, “Go^G5217 and pour^G1632 out^G1632 [fn]on the earth^G1093 the seven^G2033 bowls^G5357 of the wrath^G2372 of God^G2316.”

Rev 16:2

So^G2532 the first^G4413 angel went^G565 and poured^G1632 out^G1632 his bowl^G5357 [fn]on the earth^G1093; and it became^G1096 a loathsome^G2556 and malignant^G4190 sore^G1668 on the [fn]people^G444 who have^G2192 the mark^G5480 of the beast^G2342 and who worship^G4352 his image^G1504.

Rev 16:3

And the second^G1208 angel poured^G1632 out^G1632 his bowl^G5357 into the sea^G2281, and it became^G1096 blood^G129 like^G5613 that of a dead^G3498 man^G3498, and every^G3956 living^G2222 [fn]thing^G5590 in the sea^G2281 died^G599.

Rev 16:4

Then^G2532 the third^G5154 angel poured^G1632 out^G1632 his bowl^G5357 into the rivers^G4215 and the springs^G4077 of waters^G5204, and they became^G1096 blood^G129.

Rev 16:5

Rev 16:5And I heard the angel of the waters saying, “Righteous are You, who is and who was, O Holy One, because You judged these things;

Rev 16:6

Rev 16:6for they poured out the blood of saints and prophets, and You have given them blood to drink. They [fn]deserve it.”

Rev 16:7

Rev 16:7And I heard the altar saying, “Yes, O [fn]Lord God, the Almighty, true and righteous are Your judgments.”

Rev 16:8

And the fourth^G5067 angel poured^G1632 out^G1632 his bowl^G5357 upon the sun^G2246, and it was given^G1325 to it to scorch^G2739 men^G444 with fire^G4442.

Rev 16:9

Rev 16:9And men were scorched with [fn]fierce heat, and they blasphemed the name of God who has the authority over these plagues, and they did not repent so as to give Him glory.

Rev 16:10

Then^G2532 the fifth^G3991 angel poured^G1632 out^G1632 his bowl^G5357 on the throne^G2362 of the beast^G2342, and his kingdom^G932 became^G1096 darkened^G4656; and they gnawed^G3145 their tongues^G1100 because^G1537 of pain^G4192,

Rev 16:11

Rev 16:11and they blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, and they did not repent of their deeds.

Rev 16:12

And the sixth^G1623 angel poured^G1632 out^G1632 his bowl^G5357 on the great^G3173 river^G4215, the Euphrates^G2166, and its water^G5204 was dried^G3583 up, so^G2443 that the way^G3598 would be prepared^G2090 for the kings^G935 from the [fn]east^G395^G2246.

Rev 16:13

Rev 16:13Then I saw coming out of the mouth of the dragon and out of the mouth of the beast and out of the mouth of the false prophet, three unclean spirits like frogs;

Rev 16:14

Rev 16:14for they are spirits of demons, doing signs, which go out to the kings of the whole [fn]world, to gather them together for the war of the great day of God, the Almighty.

Rev 16:15

Rev 16:15(“Behold, I am coming like a thief. Blessed is the one who stays awake and keeps his garments, so that he will not walk about naked and men will not see his shame.”)

Rev 16:16

Rev 16:16And they gathered them together to the place which in Hebrew is called [fn]Har-Magedon.

The Seventh Bowl

Rev 16:17

Then^G2532 the seventh^G1442 angel poured^G1632 out^G1632 his bowl^G5357 upon the air^G109, and a loud^G3173 voice^G5456 came^G1831 out^G1831 of the sanctuary^G3485 from the throne^G2362, saying^G3004, “It is done^G1096.”

Rev 16:18

Rev 16:18And there were flashes of lightning and sounds and peals of thunder; and there was a great earthquake, such as there had not been since man came to be upon the earth, so great an earthquake was it, and so mighty.

Rev 16:19

Rev 16:19And the great city was split into three parts, and the cities of the [fn]nations fell. Babylon the great was remembered before God, to give her the cup of the wine of the wrath of His rage.

Rev 16:20

Rev 16:20And every island fled away, and the mountains were not found.

Rev 16:21

Rev 16:21And huge [fn]hailstones, about one [fn]talent each, *came down from heaven upon men; and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail, because its plague *was extremely [fn]severe.
