The Beast from the Sea

And the [fn]dragon stood^G2476 on the sand^G285 of the [fn]seashore^G2281.

Then^G2532 I saw^G3708 a beast^G2342 coming^G305 up^G305 out of the sea^G2281, having^G2192 ten^G1176 horns^G2768 and seven^G2033 heads^G2776, and on his horns^G2768 were ten^G1176 diadems^G1238, and on his heads^G2776 were blasphemous^G988 names^G3686.

Rev 13:2

Rev 13:2And the beast which I saw was like a leopard, and his feet were like those of a bear, and his mouth like the mouth of a lion. And the dragon gave him his power and his throne and great authority.

Rev 13:3

Rev 13:3And I saw one of his heads as if it had been [fn]slain fatally, and his fatal wound was healed. And the whole earth marveled and followed after the beast.

Rev 13:4

Rev 13:4And they worshiped the dragon because he gave his authority to the beast, and they worshiped the beast, saying, “Who is like the beast, and who is able to wage war with him?”

Rev 13:5

Rev 13:5And there was given to him a mouth speaking [fn]great boasts and blasphemies, and authority to act for forty-two months was given to him.

Rev 13:6

Rev 13:6And he opened his mouth in blasphemies against God, to blaspheme His name and His tabernacle, that is, those who [fn]dwell in heaven.

Rev 13:7

And it was also^G2532 given^G1325 to him to make^G4160 war^G4171 with the saints^G40 and to overcome^G3528 them, and authority^G1849 over^G1909 every^G3956 tribe^G5443 and people^G2992 and tongue^G1100 and nation^G1484 was given^G1325 to him.

Rev 13:8

Rev 13:8And all who dwell on the earth will worship him, everyone whose name has not been [fn]written from the foundation of the world in the book of life of the Lamb who has been slain.

Rev 13:9

Rev 13:9If anyone has an ear, let him hear.

Rev 13:10

Rev 13:10If anyone [fn]is destined for captivity, to captivity he goes; if anyone kills with the sword, with the sword he must be killed. Here is the perseverance and the faith of the saints.

The Beast from the Earth

Rev 13:11

Then^G2532 I saw^G3708 another^G243 beast^G2342 coming^G305 up^G305 out of the earth^G1093, and he had^G2192 two^G1417 horns^G2768 like^G3664 a lamb^G721 and he was speaking^G2980 as a dragon^G1404.

Rev 13:12

Rev 13:12And he exercises all the authority of the first beast [fn]in his presence. And he makes the earth and those who dwell in it to worship the first beast, whose fatal wound was healed.

Rev 13:13

Rev 13:13And he does great signs, so that he even makes fire come down out of heaven to the earth in the presence of men.

Rev 13:14

Rev 13:14And he deceives those who dwell on the earth because of the signs which were given to him to do [fn]in the presence of the beast, telling those who dwell on the earth to make an image to the beast who *had the wound of the sword and has come to life.

Rev 13:15

Rev 13:15And it was given to him to give breath to the image of the beast, so that the image of the beast would even [fn]speak and cause as many as do not worship the image of the beast to be killed.

Rev 13:16

Rev 13:16And he causes all, the small and the great, and the rich and the poor, and the free men and the slaves, that they [fn]be given a mark on their right hand or on their forehead,
