The Two Witnesses

Then^G2532 a [fn]measuring^G2563 rod^G2563 like^G3664 a staff^G4464 was given^G1325 to me, saying^G3004, “Get^G1453 up^G1453 and measure^G3354 the sanctuary^G3485 of God^G2316 and the altar^G2379, and those^G3588 who worship^G4352 in it.

Rev 11:2

Rev 11:2“And [fn]leave out the court which is outside the sanctuary and do not measure it, for it has been given to the Gentiles, and they will trample the holy city under foot for forty-two months.

Rev 11:3

Rev 11:3“And I will give authority to my two witnesses, and they will prophesy for 1,260 days, clothed in sackcloth.”

Rev 11:4

Rev 11:4These are the two olive trees and the two lampstands that stand before the Lord of the earth.

Rev 11:5

Rev 11:5And if anyone wishes to harm them, fire comes out of their mouth and devours their enemies; so if anyone wishes to harm them, he must be killed in this way.

Rev 11:6

Rev 11:6These have the authority to shut up the sky, so that rain will not fall during the days of their prophesying; they also have authority over the waters to turn them into blood, and to strike the earth with every plague, as often as they wish.

Rev 11:7

And when^G3752 they have finished^G5055 their witness^G3141, the beast^G2342 that comes^G305 up^G305 out of the abyss^G12 will make^G4160 war^G4171 with them and overcome^G3528 them and kill^G615 them.

Rev 11:8

Rev 11:8And their dead bodies will lie in the street of the great city which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also their Lord was crucified.

Rev 11:9

Rev 11:9And those from the peoples and tribes and tongues and nations will look at their dead [fn]bodies for three and a half days, and [fn]will not permit their dead bodies to be laid in a tomb.

Rev 11:10

Rev 11:10And those who dwell on the earth will rejoice over them and celebrate and send gifts to one another, because these two prophets tormented those who dwell on the earth.

Rev 11:11

But after^G3326 the three^G5140 and a half^G2255 days^G2250, the breath^G4151 of life^G2222 from God^G2316 came^G1525 into them, and they stood^G2476 on their feet^G4228, and great^G3173 fear^G5401 fell^G1968 upon those^G3588 who were watching^G2334 them.

Rev 11:12

Rev 11:12And they heard a loud voice from heaven saying to them, “Come up here.” Then they went up into heaven in the cloud, and their enemies watched them.

Rev 11:13

Rev 11:13And in that hour there was a great earthquake, and a tenth of the city fell; [fn]seven thousand people were killed in the earthquake, and the rest were terrified and gave glory to the God of heaven.

Rev 11:14

The second^G1208 woe^G3759 is past^G565; behold^G2400, the third^G5154 woe^G3759 is coming^G2064 quickly^G5035.

The Seventh Trumpet

Rev 11:15

Then^G2532 the seventh^G1442 angel^G32 sounded^G4537, and there were loud^G3173 voices^G5456 in heaven^G3772, saying^G3004,

“The kingdom^G932 of the world^G2889 has become^G1096 the kingdom of our Lord^G2962 and of His [fn]Christ^G5547, and He will reign^G936 forever^G165 and ever^G165.”

Rev 11:16

Rev 11:16And the twenty-four elders, who sit on their thrones before God, fell on their faces and worshiped God,

Rev 11:17

Rev 11:17saying,

“We give^G2168 You thanks^G2168, O Lord^G2962 God^G2316, the Almighty^G3841, who is and who^G3588 was, because^G3754 You have taken^G2983 Your great^G3173 power^G1411 and have begun to reign^G936.

Rev 11:18

Rev 11:18“And the nations were enraged, and Your rage came, and the time came for the dead to be judged, and to give reward to Your slaves—the prophets and the saints and those who fear Your name, the small and the great—and to destroy those who destroy the earth.”

Rev 11:19

And the sanctuary^G3485 of God^G2316 which is in heaven^G3772 was opened^G455, and the ark^G2787 of His covenant^G1242 appeared^G3708 in His sanctuary^G3485, and there were flashes^G796 of^G796 lightning^G796 and sounds^G5456 and peals^G1027 of^G1027 thunder^G1027 and an earthquake^G4578 and a great^G3173 [fn]hailstorm^G5464.
