For the choir director. With stringed instruments. A [fn]Maskil of David. [fn]When the Ziphites came and said to Saul, “Is not David hiding himself among us?”
O God H430, save H3467 me by Your name H8034,
And render H1777 justice H1777 to me by Your might H1369.
Psa 54:2
O God H430, hear H8085 my prayer H8605;
Give H238 ear H238 to the words H561 of my mouth H6310.
Psa 54:3
For strangers H2114 have risen H6965 against H5921 me
And ruthless H6184 men H6184 have sought H1245 my [fn]life H5315;
They have not set H7760 God H430 before H5048 them. [fn]Selah H5542.
Psa 54:4
Behold H2009, God H430 is my helper H5826;
The Lord H136 is among those who sustain H5564 my soul H5315.
Psa 54:5
He will return H7725 the evil H7451 to my foes H8324;
Destroy H6789 them in Your truth H571.
Psa 54:6
With a freewill H5071 offering H5071 I will sacrifice H2076 to You;
I will give H3034 thanks H3034 to Your name H8034, O Yahweh H3068, for it is good H2896.
Psa 54:7
