Psalm 3 :: Legacy Standard Bible (LSB)

Yahweh, Save Me

Psa 3:1

A Psalm of David. When [fn]he fled from Absalom his son.

O Yahweh, how my adversaries have become many!

Many are rising up against me.

Psa 3:2

Many are saying [fn]of my soul,

“There is no salvation for him in God.” [fn]Selah.

Psa 3:3

But You, O Yahweh, are a shield about me,

My glory, and the One who lifts my head.

Psa 3:4

I was calling to Yahweh with my voice,

And He answered me from His holy [fn]mountain. Selah.

Psa 3:5

[fn]I lay down and slept;

I awoke, for Yahweh sustains me.

Psa 3:6

I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people

Who all around have set themselves against me.

Psa 3:7

Arise, O Yahweh; save me, O my God!

For You have struck all my enemies on the [fn]cheek;

You [fn]have shattered the teeth of the wicked.

Psa 3:8

[fn]Salvation belongs to Yahweh;

Your blessing [fn]be upon Your people! Selah.
