Psa 142:1
A [fn]Maskil of David. When he was [fn]in the cave. A Prayer.
With my voice H6963 to Yahweh H3068, I cry H2199 aloud H2199;
With my voice H6963 to Yahweh H3068, I make H2603 supplication H2603.
Psa 142:2
I pour H8210 out H8210 my complaint H7879 before H6440 Him;
I declare H5046 my distress H6869 before H6440 Him.
Psa 142:3
When my spirit H7307 [fn]was faint H5848 within H5921 me,
You knew H3045 my path H5410.
In the way H734 where H2098 I walk H1980
They have hidden H2934 a trap H6341 for me.
Psa 142:4
Look H5027 to the right H3225 and see H7200;
That there H369 is H369 no H369 one H369 who regards H5234 me;
A way of escape H4498 has been destroyed H6 from me;
No H369 one H369 cares H1875 for my soul H5315.
Psa 142:5
I cried H2199 out H2199 to You, O Yahweh H3068;
I said H559, “You are my refuge H4268,
My portion H2506 in the land H776 of the living H2416.
Psa 142:6
“Give H7181 heed H7181 to my cry H7440 of lamentation H7440,
For I am brought H1809 very H3966 low H1809;
Deliver H5337 me from my persecutors H7291,
For they are H553 too H4480 strong H553 for me.
Psa 142:7
“Bring H3318 my soul H5315 out H3318 of prison H4525,
To give H3034 thanks H3034 to Your name H8034;
The righteous H6662 will encircle H3803 me,
For You will deal H1580 bountifully H1580 with me.”
