To You I Lift Up My Eyes

A Song of Ascents.

To You I lift^H5375 up^H5375 my eyes^H5869,

The One enthroned^H3427 in the heavens^H8064!

Behold^H2009, as the eyes^H5869 of slaves^H5650 look to the hand^H3027 of their master^H113,

As the eyes^H5869 of a servant-girl^H8189 to the hand^H3027 of her mistress^H1404,

So^H3651 our eyes^H5869 look to Yahweh^H3068 our God^H430,

Until^H5704 He is^H2603 gracious^H2603 to us.

Be^H2603 gracious^H2603 to us, O Yahweh^H3068, be^H2603 gracious^H2603 to us,

For we are greatly^H7227 saturated^H7646 with contempt^H937.

Our soul^H5315 is greatly^H7227 saturated^H7646

With the mockery^H3933 of those who are^H7600 at^H7600 ease^H7600,

And with the contempt^H937 of the proud^H1349.
