She has [fn]slaughtered ^H2873 her cattle ^H2874, she has mixed ^H4537 her wine ^H3196;

She has also ^H637 prepared ^H6186 her table ^H7979;

She has sent ^H7971 out ^H7971 her maidens ^H5291, she calls ^H7121

From the tops ^H1610 of the heights ^H4791 of the city ^H7176:

“Whoever ^H4310 is simple ^H6612, let him turn ^H5493 in ^H5493 here ^H2008!”

To him who ^H2638 lacks ^H2638 a heart ^H3820 of wisdom she says ^H559,

“Come ^H1980, eat ^H3898 of my bread ^H3899

And drink ^H8354 of the wine ^H3196 I have mixed ^H4537.

“[fn]Forsake ^H5800 your simplicity ^H6612 and live ^H2421,

And step ^H833 into the way ^H1870 of understanding ^H998.”

He who disciplines ^H3256 a scoffer ^H3887 receives ^H3947 disgrace ^H7036 for himself,

And he who reproves ^H3198 a wicked ^H7563 man ^H7563 receives injury ^H3971 for himself.

Do not reprove ^H3198 a scoffer ^H3887, lest ^H6435 he hate ^H8130 you,

Reprove ^H3198 a wise ^H2450 man ^H2450 and he will love ^H157 you.

Give ^H5414 knowledge to a wise ^H2450 man ^H2450 and he will be still ^H5750 wiser ^H2449,

Make ^H3045 a righteous ^H6662 man ^H6662 know ^H3045 it and he will increase ^H3254 his learning ^H3948.

The fear ^H3374 of Yahweh ^H3068 is the beginning ^H8462 of wisdom ^H2451,

And the knowledge ^H1847 of the Holy ^H6918 One ^H6918 is understanding ^H998.

For by me your days ^H3117 will become ^H7235 many ^H7235,

And years ^H8141 of life ^H2416 will be added ^H3254 to you.

If ^H518 you are ^H2449 wise ^H2449, you are ^H2449 wise ^H2449 for yourself,

And if you scoff ^H3887, you alone ^H905 will bear ^H5375 it.

“Stolen ^H1589 water ^H4325 is sweet ^H4985;

And bread ^H3899 eaten in secret ^H5643 is ^H5276 pleasant ^H5276.”

But he does not know ^H3045 that the [fn]dead ^H7496 are there ^H8033,

That those she called ^H7121 are in the depths ^H6011 of Sheol ^H7585.
