“You who hate ^H8130 good ^H2896 and love ^H157 evil ^H7451,

Who tear ^H1497 off ^H1497 their skin ^H5785 from them

And their flesh ^H7607 from their bones ^H6106,

And who ^H834 eat ^H398 the flesh ^H7607 of my people ^H5971,

Strip ^H6584 off ^H6584 their skin ^H5785 from them,

Break ^H6476 their bones ^H6106,

And spread ^H6566 them out ^H6566 as for the pot ^H5518

And as meat ^H1320 in a caldron ^H7037.”

Then ^H227 they will cry ^H2199 out ^H2199 to Yahweh ^H3068,

But He will not answer ^H6030 them.

Instead, He will hide ^H5641 His face ^H6440 from them at that time ^H6256

Because ^H834 they have practiced ^H7489 evil ^H7489 deeds ^H4611.

Thus ^H3541 says ^H559 Yahweh ^H3068 concerning ^H5921 the prophets ^H5030 who lead ^H8582 my people ^H5971 astray ^H8582;

When they have something to bite ^H5391 with their teeth ^H8127,

They call ^H7121 out ^H7121, “Peace ^H7965,”

But against ^H5921 him who ^H834 puts ^H5414 nothing ^H3808 in their mouths ^H6310,

They set ^H6942 themselves apart ^H6942 for war ^H4421.

Therefore ^H3651 it will be night ^H3915 for you—without ^H4480 vision ^H2377,

And darkness ^H2825 for you—without ^H4480 divination ^H7080.

The sun ^H8121 will go ^H935 down on the prophets ^H5030,

On the other ^H199 hand ^H199 I am filled ^H4390 with power ^H3581—

With the Spirit ^H7307 of Yahweh ^H3068—

And with justice ^H4941 and might ^H1369

Her heads ^H7218 pronounce ^H8199 judgment ^H8199 for a bribe ^H7810,

And her priests ^H3548 instruct ^H3384 for a price ^H4242,

And her prophets ^H5030 divine ^H7080 for money ^H3701.

Yet they lean ^H8172 on Yahweh ^H3068 saying ^H559,

“Is not Yahweh ^H3068 in our midst ^H7130?

Evil ^H7451 will not come ^H935 upon us.”

Therefore ^H3651, on account ^H1558 of you

Zion ^H6726 will be plowed ^H2790 as a field ^H7704;

Jerusalem ^H3389 will become ^H1961 a heap ^H5856 of ^H5856 ruins ^H5856,

And the mountain ^H2022 of the house ^H1004 of God will become high ^H1116 places ^H1116 of a forest ^H3293.
