Jesus Is Risen!

Mat 28:2

Mat 28:2And behold, there was a great earthquake, for an angel of the [fn]Lord descended from heaven and came and rolled away the stone and sat upon it.

Mat 28:3

Mat 28:3And his appearance was like lightning, and his clothing as white as snow.

Mat 28:4

Mat 28:4And the guards quaked from fear of him and became like dead men.

Mat 28:5And the angel answered and said to the women, “[fn]Do not be afraid; for I know that you are looking for Jesus who has been crucified.

Mat 28:6

Mat 28:6“He is not here, for He has risen, just as He said. Come, see the place where He was lying.

Mat 28:7

Mat 28:7“And go quickly and tell His disciples that He has risen from the dead; and behold, He is going ahead of you into Galilee, there you will see Him; behold, I have told you.”

Mat 28:8

And they left^G565 the tomb^G3419 quickly^G5035 with fear^G5401 and great^G3173 joy^G5479 and ran^G5143 to report^G518 it to His disciples^G3101.

Mat 28:9

Mat 28:9And behold, Jesus met them and said, “Greetings!” And they came up and took hold of His feet and worshiped Him.

Mat 28:10

Mat 28:10Then Jesus *said to them, “[fn]Do not be afraid; go and report to My brothers to leave for Galilee, and there they will see Me.”

Mat 28:11

Now^G1161 while they were^G4198 on^G4198 their way^G4198, behold^G2400, some^G5100 of the guard^G2892 came^G2064 into the city^G4172 and reported^G518 to the chief^G749 priests^G749 all^G537 that had happened^G1096.

Mat 28:12

Mat 28:12And when they had assembled with the elders and took counsel together, they gave a large sum of money to the soldiers,

Mat 28:13

Mat 28:13and said, “You are to say, ‘His disciples came by night and stole Him away while we were asleep.’

Mat 28:14“And if this is heard before the governor, we will win him over and [fn]keep you out of trouble.”

Mat 28:15

Mat 28:15And they took the money and did as they had been instructed; and this story was widely spread among the Jews, and is to this day.

Mat 28:16

Mat 28:17And when they saw Him, they worshiped Him; but some doubted.

Mat 28:18And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.

Mat 28:19“[fn]Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit,

Mat 28:20

Mat 28:20teaching them to keep all that I commanded you; and behold, I am with you [fn]always, even to the end of the age.”
