Simeon’s Inheritance

Then the second^H8145 lot^H1486 came^H3318 out^H3318 for Simeon^H8095, for the tribe^H4294 of the sons^H1121 of Simeon^H8095 according to their families^H4940, and their inheritance^H5159 was in the midst^H8432 of the inheritance^H5159 of the sons^H1121 of Judah^H3063.

Jos 19:2

Jos 19:2So they had as their inheritance Beersheba or [fn]Sheba and Moladah,

Jos 19:3

Jos 19:3and Hazar-shual and Balah and Ezem,

Jos 19:4

Jos 19:4and Eltolad and Bethul and Hormah,

Jos 19:5

Jos 19:5and Ziklag and Beth-marcaboth and Hazar-susah,

Jos 19:6

Jos 19:6and Beth-lebaoth and Sharuhen; thirteen cities with their villages;

Jos 19:7

Jos 19:7Ain, Rimmon and Ether and Ashan; four cities with their villages;

Jos 19:8

Jos 19:8and all the villages which were around these cities as far as Baalath-beer, Ramah of the [fn]Negev. This was the inheritance of the tribe of the sons of Simeon according to their families.

Jos 19:9

Jos 19:9The inheritance of the sons of Simeon was taken from the portion of the sons of Judah, for the share of the sons of Judah was too large for them; so the sons of Simeon received an inheritance in the midst of [fn]Judah’s inheritance.

Zebulun’s Inheritance

Jos 19:10

Now the third^H7992 lot^H1486 came^H5927 up^H5927 for the sons^H1121 of Zebulun^H2074 according to their families^H4940. And the territory^H1366 of their inheritance^H5159 was as far^H5704 as Sarid^H8301.

Jos 19:11

Jos 19:11Then their border went up to the west and to Maralah; it then reached Dabbesheth and reached the [fn]brook that is before Jokneam.

Jos 19:12

Jos 19:12Then it turned from Sarid to the east toward the sunrise as far as the border of Chisloth-tabor, and it went out to Daberath and [fn]up to Japhia.

Jos 19:13

Jos 19:13From there it passed on to the east toward the sunrise to Gath-hepher, to Eth-kazin, and it went out to Rimmon [fn]which curves to Neah.

Jos 19:14

Jos 19:14And the border circled around it on the north to Hannathon, and [fn]it ended at the valley of Iphtahel.

Jos 19:15

Jos 19:15Included also were Kattah and Nahalal and Shimron and Idalah and Bethlehem; twelve cities with their villages.

Jos 19:16

Jos 19:16This was the inheritance of the sons of Zebulun according to their families, these cities with their villages.

Issachar’s Inheritance

Jos 19:17

The fourth^H7243 lot^H1486 came^H3318 out^H3318 for Issachar^H3485, for the sons^H1121 of Issachar^H3485 according to their families^H4940.

Jos 19:18

Jos 19:18And their territory included Jezreel and Chesulloth and Shunem,

Jos 19:19

Jos 19:19and Hapharaim and Shion and Anaharath,

Jos 19:20

Jos 19:20and Rabbith and Kishion and Ebez,

Jos 19:21

Jos 19:21and Remeth and En-gannim and En-haddah and Beth-pazzez.

Jos 19:22

Jos 19:22And the border reached to Tabor and Shahazumah and Beth-shemesh, and [fn]their border ended at the Jordan; sixteen cities with their villages.

Jos 19:23

Jos 19:23This was the inheritance of the tribe of the sons of Issachar according to their families, the cities with their villages.

Asher’s Inheritance

Jos 19:24

Now the fifth^H2549 lot^H1486 came^H3318 out^H3318 for the tribe^H4294 of the sons^H1121 of Asher^H836 according to their families^H4940.

Jos 19:25

Jos 19:25And their territory was Helkath and Hali and Beten and Achshaph,

Jos 19:26

Jos 19:26and Allammelech and Amad and Mishal; and it reached to Carmel on the west and to Shihor-libnath.

Jos 19:27

Jos 19:27Then it turned east toward the sunrise to Beth-dagon and reached to Zebulun and to the valley of Iphtahel northward to Beth-emek and Neiel; then it went out [fn]to the north to Cabul,

Jos 19:28

Jos 19:28and Ebron and Rehob and Hammon and Kanah, as far as Great Sidon.

Jos 19:29

Jos 19:29Then the border turned to Ramah and to the fortified city of Tyre; then the border turned to Hosah, and [fn]it ended at the sea by the region of Achzib.

Jos 19:30

Jos 19:30Included also were Ummah and Aphek and Rehob; twenty-two cities with their villages.

Jos 19:31

Jos 19:31This was the inheritance of the tribe of the sons of Asher according to their families, these cities with their villages.

Naphtali’s Inheritance

Jos 19:32

The sixth^H8345 lot^H1486 came^H3318 out^H3318 for the sons^H1121 of Naphtali^H5321, for the sons^H1121 of Naphtali^H5321 according to their families^H4940.

Jos 19:33

Jos 19:33And their border was from Heleph, from the oak in Zaanannim and Adami-nekeb and Jabneel, as far as Lakkum, and [fn]it ended at the Jordan.

Jos 19:34

Jos 19:34Then the border turned westward to Aznoth-tabor and went out from there to Hukkok; and it reached to Zebulun on the south and reached to Asher on the west and to Judah at the Jordan to the east toward the sunrise.

Jos 19:35

Jos 19:35Now the fortified cities were Ziddim, Zer and Hammath, Rakkath and Chinnereth,

Jos 19:36

Jos 19:36and Adamah and Ramah and Hazor,

Jos 19:37

Jos 19:37and Kedesh and Edrei and En-hazor,

Jos 19:38

Jos 19:38and Yiron and Migdal-el, Horem and Beth-anath and Beth-shemesh; nineteen cities with their villages.

Jos 19:39

Jos 19:39This was the inheritance of the tribe of the sons of Naphtali according to their families, the cities with their villages.

Dan’s Inheritance

Jos 19:40

The seventh^H7637 lot^H1486 came^H3318 out^H3318 for the tribe^H4294 of the sons^H1121 of Dan^H1835 according to their families^H4940.

Jos 19:41

Jos 19:41And the territory of their inheritance was Zorah and Eshtaol and Ir-shemesh,

Jos 19:42

Jos 19:42and Shaalabbin and Aijalon and Ithlah,

Jos 19:43

Jos 19:43and Elon and Timnah and Ekron,

Jos 19:44

Jos 19:44and Eltekeh and Gibbethon and Baalath,

Jos 19:45

Jos 19:45and Jehud and Bene-berak and Gath-rimmon,

Jos 19:46

Jos 19:46and Me-jarkon and Rakkon, with the territory over against [fn]Joppa.

Jos 19:47

Jos 19:47And the territory of the sons of Dan went out from them; for the sons of Dan went up and fought with Leshem and captured it. Then they struck it with the edge of the sword and possessed it and [fn]settled in it; and they called [fn]Leshem Dan after the name of Dan their father.

Jos 19:48

Jos 19:48This was the inheritance of the tribe of the sons of Dan according to their families, these cities with their villages.

Jos 19:49

So they finished^H3615 apportioning the land^H776 for^H5157 inheritance^H5157 by its borders^H1367. Then the sons^H1121 of Israel^H3478 gave^H5414 an inheritance^H5159 in their midst^H8432 to Joshua^H3091 the son^H1121 of Nun^H5126.

Jos 19:50

Jos 19:50In accordance with the [fn]command of Yahweh they gave him the city for which he asked, Timnath-serah in the hill country of Ephraim. So he built the city and [fn]settled in it.

Jos 19:51
