Job 27:1
Then Job H347 continued H3524 to lift H5375 up H5375 his [fn]discourse H4912 and said H559,
Job 27:2
“As God H410 lives H2416, who has removed H5493 my justice H4941,
And the Almighty H7706, who has H4843 embittered H4843 my soul H5315,
Job 27:3
For as long H3605 H5750 as breath H5397 is in me,
And the spirit H5397 from God H433 is in my nostrils H639,
Job 27:4
My lips H8193 certainly H518 will not speak H1696 unrighteousness H5766,
Nor H518 will my tongue H3956 utter H1897 deceit H7423.
Job 27:5
“Far H2486 be it from me that I should declare H6663 you right H6663;
Till H5704 I breathe H1478 my last H1478 I will not remove H5493 my integrity H8538 from me.
Job 27:6
“I hold H2388 fast H2388 my righteousness H6666 and will not let H7503 it go H7503.
My heart H3824 does not reproach H2778 any H4480 of my days H3117.
Job 27:7
“May my enemy H340 be as the wicked H7563
And the one who rises H6965 against me as the unjust H5767.
Job 27:8
“For what H4100 is the hope H8615 of the godless H2611 [fn]when H3588 he is cut H1214 off H1214,
When H3588 God H433 requires H7953 his [fn]soul H5315?
Job 27:9
“Will God H410 hear H8085 his cry H6818
When H3588 distress H6869 comes H935 upon him?
Job 27:10
“Will he take H6026 delight H6026 in the Almighty H7706?
Will he call H7121 on God H433 at all H3605 times H6256?
Job 27:11
“I will instruct H3384 you in the [fn]power H3027 of God H410;
What H834 is with the Almighty H7706 I will not conceal H3582.
Job 27:12
“Behold H2005, all H3605 of you have seen H2372 it;
Why H4100 then H2088 do you speak H1891 with H1891 utter H1891 vanity H1891?
Job 27:13
“This H2088 is the portion H2506 of a wicked H7563 man H120 from God H410,
And the inheritance H5159 which the ruthless H6184 receive H3947 from the Almighty H7706.
Job 27:14
“Though H518 his sons H1121 are H7235 many H7235, [fn]they are destined for the sword H2719;
And his offspring H6631 will not be H7646 satisfied H7646 with bread H3899.
Job 27:15
“His survivors H8300 will be buried H6912 because of the plague H4194,
And [fn]their widows H490 will not be able to weep H1058.
Job 27:16
“Though H518 he piles H6651 up H6651 silver H3701 like dust H6083
And prepares H3559 garments H4403 as plentiful as the clay H2563,
Job 27:17
He may prepare H3559 it, but the righteous H6662 will wear H3847 it,
And the innocent H5355 will divide H2505 the silver H3701.
Job 27:18
“He has built H1129 his house H1004 like the [fn]moth,
Or as a hut H5521 which the watchman H5341 has made H6213.
Job 27:19
“He lies H7901 down H7901 rich H6223, but never H3808 [fn]again H622;
He opens H6491 his eyes H5869, and it is no H369 longer H369.
Job 27:20
“Terrors H1091 overtake H5381 him like many waters H4325;
A tempest H5492 steals H1589 him away H1589 in the night H3915.
Job 27:21
“The east H6921 wind H6921 carries H5375 him away, and he goes H1980,
And it whirls H8175 him away H8175 from his place H4725.
Job 27:22
“For it will hurl H7993 at him without H3808 sparing H2550;
He will surely H1272 try to flee H1272 from its [fn]power H3027.
Job 27:23
“Men will clap H5606 their hands H3709 at him
And will hiss H8319 him from his place H4725.
