Job 10:1
“My soul H5315 is loathed H6962 by my life H2416;
I will abandon H5800 all restraint in myself H5800 H5921 to my complaint H7879;
I will speak H1696 in the bitterness H4751 of my soul H5315.
Job 10:2
“I will say H559 to God H433, ‘Do not account H7561 me as wicked H7561;
Let me know H3045 why H5921 H4100 You contend H7378 with me.
Job 10:3
‘Is it good H2896 to You that H3588 You oppress H6231,
That You reject H3988 the labor H3018 of Your hands H3709,
And [fn]cause the counsel H6098 of the wicked H7563 to shine H3313 forth H3313?
Job 10:4
‘Have You eyes H5869 of flesh H1320?
Or H518 do You see H7200 as a mortal H582 man H582 sees H7200?
Job 10:5
‘Are Your days H3117 as the days H3117 of a mortal H582 man H582,
Or H518 Your years H8141 as man’s H1397 years H3117,
Job 10:6
That You should seek H1245 for my guilt H5771
And search H1875 after my sin H2403?
Job 10:7
‘According H5921 to Your knowledge H1847 I am H7561 indeed H3588 not wicked H7561,
Yet there H369 is H369 no H369 [fn]deliverer H5337 from Your hand H3027.
Job 10:8
‘Your hands H3027 fashioned H6087 and made H6213 me [fn]altogether H3162 H5439,
And would You swallow H1104 me up?
Job 10:9
‘Remember H2142 now H4994, that You have made H6213 me as clay H2563;
And would You turn H7725 me into dust H6083 again H7725?
Job 10:10
‘Did You not pour H5413 me out H5413 like milk H2461
And curdle H7087 me like cheese H1385,
Job 10:11
Clothe H3847 me with skin H5785 and flesh H1320,
And knit H5526 me together H5526 with bones H6106 and sinews H1517?
Job 10:12
‘You have made H6213 alongside me life H2416 and lovingkindness H2617;
And Your care H6486 has kept H8104 my spirit H7307.
Job 10:13
‘Yet these H428 things H428 You have concealed H6845 in Your heart H3824;
I know H3045 that this H2088 is within H5973 You:
Job 10:14
If H518 I sin H2398, then You would take H8104 note H8104 of me
And would not acquit H5352 me of my guilt H5771.
Job 10:15
‘If H518 I am H7561 wicked H7561, woe H480 to me!
And if I am H6663 righteous H6663, I dare not lift H5375 up H5375 my head H7218.
I am sated H7649 with disgrace H7036—so see H7202 my misery H6040!
Job 10:16
‘Should my head be set H1342 on high H1342, You would hunt H6679 me like a lion H7826;
And again H7725 You would show H6381 Your wonders H6381 against me.
Job 10:17
‘You renew H2318 Your witnesses H5707 against H5048 me
And increase H7235 Your vexation H3708 toward H5973 me;
[fn]Hardship H2487 after hardship H6635 is with me.
Job 10:18
‘Why H4100 then have You brought H3318 me out H3318 of the womb H7358?
Would that I had breathed H1478 my last H1478 and no H3808 eye H5869 had seen H7200 me!
Job 10:19
‘I should have been H1961 as though H834 I had not been H1961,
Carried H2986 from womb H990 to tomb H6913.’
Job 10:20
“Would He not cease H2308 for a few H4592 of my days H3117?
[fn]Withdraw H7896 from me that I may have H1082 a little H4592 cheer H1082
Job 10:21
Before H2962 I go H1980—and I shall not return H7725—
To the land H776 of darkness H2822 and shadow H6757 of death H6757,
Job 10:22
The land H776 of utter H5890 gloom H5890 as the thick H652 darkness H652 itself,
Of the shadow H6757 of death H6757, without H3808 order H5468,
And which shines H3313 as the thick H652 darkness H652.”
