The Wedding at Cana

And on the third^G5154 day^G2250 there was a wedding^G1062 in Cana^G2580 of Galilee^G1056, and the mother^G3384 of Jesus^G2424 was there^G1563;

Jhn 2:2

Jhn 2:2and both Jesus and His disciples were invited to the wedding.

Jhn 2:3

Jhn 2:3And when the wine ran out, the mother of Jesus *said to Him, “They have no wine.”

Jhn 2:4

Jhn 2:4And Jesus *said to her, “Woman, [fn]what do I have to do with you? My hour has not yet come.”

Jhn 2:5

Jhn 2:5His mother *said to the servants, “Whatever He says to you, do it.”

Jhn 2:6

Jhn 2:6Now there were six stone water jars set there for the Jewish custom of purification, containing [fn]two or three measures each.

Jhn 2:7

Jhn 2:7Jesus *said to them, “Fill the water jars with water.” So they filled them up to the brim.

Jhn 2:8

Jhn 2:8And He *said to them, “Draw some out now and take it to the headwaiter.” So they took it to him.

Jhn 2:9

Jhn 2:9Now when the headwaiter tasted the water which had become wine, and did not know where it came from (but the servants who had drawn the water knew), the headwaiter *called the bridegroom,

Jhn 2:10

Jhn 2:10and *said to him, “Every man serves the good wine first, and when the people have [fn]drunk freely, then the inferior wine; but you have kept the good wine until now.”

Jhn 2:11

Jhn 2:11Jesus did this in Cana of Galilee as the beginning of His [fn]signs, and manifested His glory, and His disciples believed in Him.

Jhn 2:12

After^G3326 this^G3778 He went^G2597 down^G2597 to Capernaum^G2584, He and His mother^G3384 and His brothers^G80 and His disciples^G3101; and they stayed^G3306 there^G1563 a few^G3756^G4183 days^G2250.

Jesus Cleanses the Temple

Jhn 2:13

And the Passover^G3957 of the Jews^G2453 was near^G1451, and Jesus^G2424 went^G305 up^G305 to Jerusalem^G2414.

Jhn 2:14

Jhn 2:14And He found in the temple those who were selling oxen and sheep and doves, and the money changers seated at their tables.

Jhn 2:15

Jhn 2:15And He made a scourge of cords, and drove them all out of the temple, with the sheep and the oxen; and He poured out the coins of the money changers and overturned their tables;

Jhn 2:16

Jhn 2:16and to those who were selling the doves He said, “Take these things away; stop making My Father’s house a [fn]place of business.”

Jhn 2:17

Jhn 2:17His disciples remembered that it was written, “ZEAL FOR YOUR HOUSE WILL CONSUME ME.”

Jhn 2:18

Jhn 2:18The Jews then said to Him, “What sign do You show us [fn]as your authority for doing these things?”

Jhn 2:19

Jhn 2:19Jesus answered them, “Destroy this [fn]sanctuary, and in three days I will raise it up.”

Jhn 2:20

Jhn 2:20The Jews then said, “It took forty-six years to build this sanctuary, and will You raise it up in three days?”

Jhn 2:21

Jhn 2:21But He was speaking about the sanctuary of His body.

Jhn 2:22

Jhn 2:22So when He was raised from the dead, His disciples remembered that He said this; and they believed the Scripture and the word which Jesus had spoken.

Now^G1161 when^G5613 He was in Jerusalem^G2414 at the Passover^G3957, during^G1722 the feast^G1859, many^G4183 believed^G4100 in His name^G3686, when they saw^G2334 His signs^G4592 which^G3739 He was doing^G4160.
