Noah and the Flood

(Luk 17:26, 27 )

Then Yahweh^H3068 said^H559 to Noah^H5146, “Enter^H935 the ark^H8392, you and all^H3605 your household^H1004, for you alone I have seen^H7200 to be righteous^H6662 before^H6440 Me in this^H2088 generation^H1755.

Gen 7:2

Gen 7:2“You shall take [fn]with you of every clean animal [fn]by sevens, a male and his female; and of the animals that are not clean, two, a male and his female;

Gen 7:3

Gen 7:3also of the birds of the [fn]sky, [fn]by sevens, male and female, to keep their seed alive on the face of all the earth.

Gen 7:4

Gen 7:4“For after seven more days, I will send rain on the earth forty days and forty nights; and I will blot out from the face of the land every living thing that I have made.”

Gen 7:5

Gen 7:5And Noah did according to all that Yahweh had commanded him.

Gen 7:6

Now Noah^H5146 was six^H8337 hundred^H3967 years^H8141 old^H1121 when the flood^H3999 of water^H4325 [fn]came^H1961 upon the earth^H776.

Gen 7:7

Gen 7:7Then Noah and his sons and his wife and his sons’ wives with him entered the ark because of the water of the flood.

Gen 7:8

Gen 7:8Of clean animals and animals that are not clean and birds and everything that creeps on the ground,

Gen 7:9

Gen 7:9 [fn]by twos they came to Noah into the ark, male and female, as God had commanded Noah.

Gen 7:10

Gen 7:10Now it happened after the seven days, that the water of the flood [fn]came upon the earth.

Gen 7:11

Gen 7:11In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, in the second month, on the seventeenth day of the month, on this day all the fountains of the great deep split open, and the [fn]floodgates of the sky were opened.

Gen 7:12

Gen 7:12Then the rain [fn]came upon the earth for forty days and forty nights.

Gen 7:13

On this^H6106 very^H6106 day^H3117 Noah^H5146 and Shem^H8035 and Ham^H2526 and Japheth^H3315, the sons^H1121 of Noah^H5146, and Noah’s^H5146 wife^H802 and the three^H7969 wives^H802 of his sons^H1121 with them, entered^H935 the ark^H8392,

Gen 7:14

Gen 7:14they and every beast after its kind, and all the cattle after [fn]their kind, and every creeping thing that creeps on the earth after its kind, and every bird after its kind—every [fn]fowl, every winged creature.

Gen 7:15

Gen 7:15So they came to Noah into the ark, by twos of all flesh in which was the breath of life.

Gen 7:16

Gen 7:16And those that entered, male and female of all flesh, entered as God had commanded him; and Yahweh closed it behind him.

Then the flood^H3999 [fn]came^H1961 upon the earth^H776 for forty^H705 days^H3117, and the water^H4325 multiplied^H7235 and lifted^H5375 up^H5375 the ark^H8392, so that it rose^H7311 above^H4480^H5921 the earth^H776.

Gen 7:18

Gen 7:18And the water prevailed and multiplied greatly upon the earth, and the ark went on the [fn]surface of the water.

Gen 7:19

Gen 7:19And the water prevailed more and more upon the earth, so that all the high mountains under all the heavens were covered.

Gen 7:20

Gen 7:20The water prevailed [fn]fifteen cubits higher, and the mountains were covered.

Gen 7:21

Gen 7:21And all flesh that [fn]moved on the earth breathed its last, that is birds and cattle and beasts and every swarming thing that swarms upon the earth, as well as all mankind.

Gen 7:22

Gen 7:22All in whose nostrils was the breath of the spirit of life—of all that was on the dry land—died.

Gen 7:23

Gen 7:23Thus He blotted out [fn]every living thing that was upon the face of the land, from man to animals to creeping things and to birds of the [fn]sky, and they were blotted out from the earth; and only Noah remained, and those that were with him in the ark.

Gen 7:24
