Christ Set Us Free

[fn]It was for freedom^G1657 that Christ^G5547 set^G1659 us free^G1659. Therefore^G3767, stand^G4739 firm^G4739 and do not be subject^G1758 again^G3825 to a yoke^G2218 of slavery^G1397.

Gal 5:2

Behold^G2396 I, Paul^G3972, say^G3004 to you that if^G1437 you receive^G4059 circumcision^G4059, Christ^G5547 will be of no^G3762 benefit^G5623 to you.

Gal 5:3

Gal 5:3And I testify again to every man who receives circumcision, that he is under obligation to keep the whole Law.

Gal 5:4

Gal 5:4You have been [fn]severed from Christ, you who are being justified by law; you have fallen from grace!

Gal 5:5

Gal 5:5For we [fn]through the Spirit, [fn]by faith, are eagerly waiting for the hope of righteousness.

Gal 5:6

Gal 5:6For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision means anything, but faith working through love.

Gal 5:7

Gal 5:8

Gal 5:8This persuasion is not from Him who calls you.

Gal 5:9

Gal 5:9A little leaven leavens the whole lump.

Gal 5:10

Gal 5:10I have confidence [fn]in you in the Lord that you will adopt no other view. But the one who is disturbing you will bear his judgment, whoever he is.

Gal 5:11

Gal 5:11But I, brothers, if I still preach circumcision, why am I still persecuted? Then the stumbling block of the cross would have been abolished.

Gal 5:12

Gal 5:12I wish that those who are upsetting you would even [fn]mutilate themselves.

Gal 5:13

For you were called^G2564 to freedom^G1657, brothers^G80; only^G3440 do not turn your freedom^G1657 into an opportunity^G874 for the flesh^G4561, but through^G1223 love^G26 serve^G1398 one^G240 another^G240.

Gal 5:14

Gal 5:14For the whole Law is fulfilled in one word, in this: “YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF.”

Gal 5:15

Gal 5:15But if you bite and devour one another, beware that you are not consumed by one another.

Walk by the Spirit

Gal 5:16

But I say^G3004, walk^G4043 by the Spirit^G4151 and you will not carry^G5055 out^G5055 the desire^G1939 of the flesh^G4561.

Gal 5:17

Gal 5:17For the flesh [fn]sets its desire against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; for these are in opposition to one another, so that you do not do the things that you want.

Gal 5:18

Gal 5:18But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the Law.

Gal 5:19Now the deeds of the flesh are evident, which are: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality,

Gal 5:20

Gal 5:20idolatry, sorcery, enmities, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish ambition, dissensions, [fn]factions,

Gal 5:21

Gal 5:21envying, drunkenness, carousing, and things like these, of which I forewarn you, just as I have forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.
