The Prince, Feast, and Offerings

‘Thus^H3541 says^H559 Lord^H136 Yahweh^H3068, “The gate^H8179 of the inner^H6442 court^H2691 facing^H6437 east^H6921 shall be shut^H5462 the six^H8337 working^H4639 days^H3117; but it shall be opened^H6605 on the sabbath^H7676 day^H3117 and opened^H6605 on the day^H3117 of the new^H2320 moon^H2320.

Eze 46:2

Eze 46:2“Then the prince shall enter by way of the porch of the gate from outside and stand by the post of the gate. Then the priests shall provide his burnt offering and his peace offerings, and he shall worship at the threshold of the gate and then go out; but the gate shall not be shut until the evening.

Eze 46:3

Eze 46:3“And the people of the land shall also worship at the entrance of that gate before Yahweh on the sabbaths and on the new moons.

Eze 46:4

Eze 46:4“Now the burnt offering which the prince shall bring near to Yahweh on the sabbath day shall be six lambs without blemish and a ram without blemish;

Eze 46:5

Eze 46:5and the grain offering shall be an ephah [fn]with the ram, and the grain offering with the lambs shall be a gift from his hand, as well as a [fn]hin of oil with an ephah.

Eze 46:6

Eze 46:6“And on the day of the new moon he shall offer a bull from the herd without blemish, also six lambs and a ram, which shall be without blemish.

Eze 46:7

Eze 46:7“And he shall [fn]provide a grain offering, an ephah with the bull and an ephah with the ram, and with the lambs as [fn]much as he is able, and a hin of oil with an ephah.

Eze 46:8

Eze 46:8“And when the prince enters, he shall go in by way of the porch of the gate and go out [fn]by the same way.

Eze 46:9

Eze 46:9“But when the people of the land come before Yahweh at the appointed times, he who enters by way of the north gate to worship shall go out by way of the south gate. And he who enters by way of the south gate shall go out by way of the north gate. [fn]No one shall return by way of the gate by which he entered but shall go straight out.

Eze 46:10

Eze 46:10“So when they go in, the prince shall go in among them; and when they go out, [fn]he shall go out.

Eze 46:11

“Now at the feasts^H2282 and the appointed^H4150 times^H4150 the grain offering^H4503 shall be an [fn]ephah^H374 with a bull^H6499 and an ephah^H374 with a ram^H352, and with the lambs^H3532 shall be a gift^H4991 from his hand^H3027, as well as a hin^H1969 of oil^H8081 with an ephah^H374.

Eze 46:12

Eze 46:12“And when the prince provides a freewill offering, a burnt offering, or peace offerings as a freewill offering to Yahweh, the gate facing east shall be opened for him. And he shall provide his burnt offering and his peace offerings as he does on the sabbath day. Then he shall go out, and the gate shall be shut after he goes out.

Eze 46:13

“And you shall provide^H6213 a lamb^H3532 a year^H8141 old^H1121 without^H8549 blemish^H8549 for a burnt^H5930 offering^H5930 to Yahweh^H3068 daily^H3117; morning^H1242 by morning^H1242 you shall provide^H6213 it.

Eze 46:14

Eze 46:14“Also you shall provide a grain offering with it morning by morning—a sixth of an ephah as well as a third of a hin of oil to moisten the fine flour—a grain offering to Yahweh continually by a perpetual statute.

Eze 46:15

Eze 46:15“Thus they shall provide the lamb, the grain offering, and the oil, morning by morning, for a continual burnt offering.”

Eze 46:16

‘Thus^H3541 says^H559 Lord^H136 Yahweh^H3068, “If^H3588 the prince^H5387 gives^H5414 a gift^H4979 out of his inheritance^H5159 to any^H376 of his sons^H1121, it shall belong^H1961 to his sons^H1121; it is their possession^H272 by inheritance^H5159.

Eze 46:17

Eze 46:17“But if he gives a gift from his inheritance to one of his servants, it shall be his until the year of liberty; then it shall return to the prince. His inheritance shall be only his sons’; it shall belong to them.

Eze 46:18

Eze 46:18“Now the prince shall not take from the people’s inheritance, mistreating them out of their possession; he shall give his sons inheritance from his own possession so that My people will not be scattered, anyone from his possession.”’”

The Boiling Places

Eze 46:19

Then he brought^H935 me through the entrance^H3996, which was at the side^H3802 of the gate^H8179, into the holy^H6944 chambers^H3957 for the priests^H3548, which faced^H6437 north^H6828; and behold^H2009, there^H8033 was a place^H4725 at the extreme^H3411 rear^H3411 toward the west^H3220.

Eze 46:20

Eze 46:20Then he said to me, “This is the place where the priests shall boil the guilt offering and the sin offering and where they shall bake the grain offering, in order that they may not bring them out into the outer court to transmit holiness to the people.”

Eze 46:21

Then he brought^H3318 me out^H3318 into the outer^H2435 court^H2691 and had^H5674 me pass^H5674 through to the four^H702 corners^H4740 of the court^H2691; and behold^H2009, in every^H4740 corner^H4740 of the court^H2691 there was a small court^H2691.

Eze 46:22

Eze 46:22In the four corners of the court there were enclosed courts, [fn]forty cubits long and thirty wide; these four in the corners were [fn]the same size.
