Prophecy Against Mount Seir

Eze 35:1

Moreover, the word^H1697 of Yahweh^H3068 came^H1961 to me saying^H559,

Eze 35:2

Eze 35:2“Son of man, set your face against Mount Seir and prophesy against it

Eze 35:3

Eze 35:3and say to it, ‘Thus says Lord Yahweh,

“Behold^H2009, I am against^H413 you, Mount^H2022 Seir^H8165,

And I will stretch^H5186 out^H5186 My hand^H3027 against^H5921 you

And make^H5414 you a desolation^H8077 and a desecration^H4923.

Eze 35:4

“I will lay^H7760 waste^H2723 your cities^H5892,

And you will become^H1961 a desolation^H8077.

Then you will know^H3045 that I am Yahweh^H3068.

Eze 35:5

“Because^H3282 you have had^H1961 everlasting^H5769 enmity^H342 and have [fn]delivered^H5064 the sons^H1121 of Israel^H3478 to the power^H3027 of the sword^H2719 at the time^H6256 of their disaster^H343, at the time^H6256 of the [fn]punishment^H5771 of the end^H7093,

Eze 35:6

Eze 35:6therefore as I live,” declares Lord Yahweh, “I will [fn]prepare you for bloodshed, and bloodshed will pursue you; you surely have not hated bloodshed, so bloodshed will pursue you.

Eze 35:7

Eze 35:7“I will make Mount Seir a waste and a desolation, and I will cut off from it the one who passes through and returns.

Eze 35:8

Eze 35:8“I will fill its mountains with its slain; on your hills and in your valleys and in all your ravines those slain by the sword will [fn]fall.

Eze 35:9

Eze 35:9“I will make you an everlasting desolation, and your cities will not be inhabited. Then you will know that I am Yahweh.

Eze 35:10

“Because^H3282 you have said^H559, ‘These two^H8147 nations^H1471 and these two^H8147 lands^H776 will be mine, and we will possess^H3423 [fn]them,’ although Yahweh^H3068 was there^H8033,

Eze 35:11

Eze 35:11therefore as I live,” declares Lord Yahweh, “I will deal with you according to your anger and according to your jealousy which you dealt with them because of your hatred against them; so I will make Myself known among them when I judge you.

Eze 35:12

Eze 35:12“Then you will know [fn]that I, Yahweh, have heard all your [fn]contempt which you have spoken against the mountains of Israel saying, ‘They are laid desolate; they are given to us for food.’

Eze 35:13

Eze 35:13“And you have magnified yourselves with your mouth against Me and have multiplied your words against Me; I have heard it.”

Eze 35:14

Eze 35:14‘Thus says Lord Yahweh, “As all the earth delights, I will make you a desolation.

Eze 35:15

Eze 35:15“As you delighted over the inheritance of the house of Israel because it was desolate, so I will do to you. You will be a desolation, O Mount Seir, and all Edom, all of it. Then they will know that I am Yahweh.”’
