Judgment on Evil Counselors

Moreover, the Spirit^H7307 lifted^H5375 me up^H5375 and brought^H935 me to the east^H6931 gate^H8179 of the house^H1004 of Yahweh^H3068 which faced^H6437 eastward^H6931. And behold^H2009, at the entrance^H6607 of the gate^H8179, there were twenty-five^H6242^H2568 men^H376, and I saw^H7200 among^H8432 them Jaazaniah^H2970 son^H1121 of Azzur^H5809 and Pelatiah^H6410 son^H1121 of Benaiah^H1141, officials^H8269 of the people^H5971.

Eze 11:2

Eze 11:2He said to me, “Son of man, these are the men who devise wickedness and give evil counsel in this city,

Eze 11:3

Eze 11:3who say, ‘The time is not near to build houses. [fn]This city is the pot, and we are the flesh.’

Eze 11:4

Eze 11:4“Therefore, prophesy against them, son of man, prophesy!”

Eze 11:5

Then the Spirit^H7307 of Yahweh^H3068 fell^H5307 upon me, and He said^H559 to me, “Say^H559, ‘Thus^H3541 says^H559 Yahweh^H3068, “So^H3651 you say^H559, house^H1004 of Israel^H3478, for I know^H3045 what^H4609 comes^H4609 up^H4609 in your spirit^H7307.

Eze 11:6

Eze 11:6“You have multiplied your slain in this city, and you have filled its streets with [fn]them.”

Eze 11:7

Eze 11:7‘Therefore, thus says Lord Yahweh, “Your slain whom you have laid in the midst of [fn]the city are the flesh, and this city is the pot; but [fn]I will bring you out of it.

Eze 11:8

Eze 11:8“You have feared a sword; so a sword I will bring upon you,” Lord Yahweh declares.

Eze 11:9

Eze 11:9“And I will bring you out of the midst of [fn]the city and give you into the hands of strangers and execute judgments against you.

Eze 11:10

Eze 11:10“You will fall by the sword. I will judge you to the border of Israel; so you shall know that I am Yahweh.

Eze 11:11

Eze 11:11“This city will not be a pot for you, nor will you be flesh in the midst of it, but I will judge you to the border of Israel.

Eze 11:12

Eze 11:12“Thus you will know that I am Yahweh; for you have not walked in My statutes, nor have you executed My judgments, but have executed according to the judgments of the nations around you.”’”

Eze 11:13

Now it happened^H1961 as I prophesied^H5012, that Pelatiah^H6410 son^H1121 of Benaiah^H1141 died^H4191. Then I fell^H5307 on my face^H6440 and cried^H2199 out^H2199 with a loud^H1419 voice^H6963 and said^H559, “Alas^H162, Lord^H136 Yahweh^H3068! Will You bring^H6213 the remnant^H7611 of Israel^H3478 to complete^H3617 destruction^H3617?”

Yahweh Will Gather the Exiles

Eze 11:14

Then the word^H1697 of Yahweh^H3068 came^H1961 to me, saying^H559,

Eze 11:15

Eze 11:15“Son of man, your brothers, your [fn]relatives, [fn]your fellow exiles, and the whole house of Israel, all of them, are those to whom the inhabitants of Jerusalem have said, ‘Go far from Yahweh; this land has been given to us as a possession.’

Eze 11:16

Eze 11:16“Therefore say, ‘Thus says Lord Yahweh, “Though I had removed them far away among the nations, and though I had scattered them among the countries, yet I was a sanctuary for them a little while in the countries where they had gone.”’

Eze 11:17

Eze 11:17“Therefore say, ‘Thus says Lord Yahweh, “I will gather you from the peoples and assemble you out of the countries among which you have been scattered, and I will give you the land of Israel.”’

Eze 11:18

Eze 11:18“When they come there, they will remove all its detestable things and all its abominations from it.

Eze 11:19

Eze 11:19“And I will give them one heart and give within [fn]them a new spirit. And I will take the heart of stone out of their flesh and give them a heart of flesh,

Eze 11:20

Eze 11:20that they may walk in My statutes and keep My judgments and do them. Then they will be My people, and I shall be their God.

Eze 11:21

Eze 11:21“[fn]But as for those whose hearts walk after their detestable things and abominations, I will give what is due for their way on their heads,” declares Lord Yahweh.

The Glory of Yahweh Leaves Jerusalem

Eze 11:22

Then the cherubim^H3742 lifted^H5375 up^H5375 their wings^H3671 with the wheels^H212 beside^H5980 them, and the glory^H3519 of the God^H430 of Israel^H3478 [fn]hovered^H4480^H4605 over^H5921 them.

Eze 11:23

Eze 11:23The glory of Yahweh went up from the midst of the city and stood over the mountain which is east of the city.

Eze 11:24

Eze 11:24Now the Spirit lifted me up and brought me in a vision by the Spirit of God to the exiles in [fn]Chaldea. So the vision that I had seen went up and away from me.
