Exo 36:1

“Now Bezalel^H1212 and Oholiab^H171 and every^H3605 person^H376 [fn]wise^H2450 at heart^H3820, to whom^H834 Yahweh^H3068 has given^H5414 [fn]wisdom^H2451 and discernment^H8394 to know^H3045 how to do^H6213 all^H3605 the work^H4399 of the service^H5656 of constructing the sanctuary^H6944, shall do^H6213 in accordance with all^H3605 that Yahweh^H3068 has commanded^H6680.”

Making the Tabernacle

Exo 36:2

Then Moses^H4872 called^H7121 Bezalel^H1212 and Oholiab^H171 and every^H3605 person^H376 [fn]wise^H2450 at heart^H3820 to whom^H834 Yahweh^H3068 had given^H5414 [fn]wisdom^H2451, everyone^H3605 whose^H834 heart^H3820 stirred^H5375 him, to come^H7126 to the work^H4399 to do^H6213 it.

Exo 36:3

Exo 36:3And they received from Moses the entire [fn]contribution which the sons of Israel had brought [fn]to do the work in the service of the sanctuary. And they still continued bringing to him freewill offerings every morning.

Exo 36:4

Exo 36:4And all the [fn]wise men who were doing all the work of the sanctuary came, each from [fn]the work which [fn]he was doing,

Exo 36:5

Exo 36:5and they said to [fn]Moses, “The people are bringing much more than enough for the service of the work which Yahweh commanded us to [fn]do.”

Exo 36:6

Exo 36:6So Moses commanded and a [fn]proclamation was passed throughout the camp, saying, “Let no man or woman any longer do the work for the [fn]contributions of the sanctuary.” Thus the people were restrained from bringing any more.

Exo 36:7

Exo 36:7Indeed, the [fn]material they had was sufficient and more than enough for all the work, to do it.

Exo 36:8

And all^H3605 those [fn]wise^H2450 at heart^H3820 among those who were doing^H6213 the work^H4399 made^H6213 the [fn]tabernacle^H4908 with ten^H6235 curtains^H3407; of fine^H8336 twisted^H7806 linen^H8336 and [fn]blue^H8504 and purple^H713 and scarlet^H8144 material, with cherubim^H3742, the work^H4639 of a skillful^H2803 designer^H2803, [fn]Bezalel made^H6213 them.

Exo 36:9

Exo 36:9The length of each curtain was [fn]twenty-eight cubits and the width of each curtain four [fn]cubits; all the curtains had [fn]the same measurements.

Exo 36:10

Exo 36:10He [fn]joined five curtains to one another, and the other five curtains he [fn]joined to one another.

Exo 36:11

Exo 36:11He made loops of [fn]blue on the edge of the [fn]outermost curtain in the first [fn]set; he did likewise on the edge of the curtain that was [fn]outermost in the second [fn]set.

Exo 36:12

Exo 36:12He made fifty loops in the one curtain, and he made fifty loops on the [fn]edge of the curtain that was in the second [fn]set; the loops were opposite each other.

Exo 36:13

Exo 36:13He made fifty clasps of gold and [fn]joined the curtains to one another with the clasps, so the tabernacle was one unit.

Exo 36:14

Then he made^H6213 curtains^H3407 of goats’^H5795 hair for a tent^H168 over^H5921 the tabernacle^H4908; he made^H6213 eleven^H6249^H6240 curtains^H3407 [fn]in all.

Exo 36:15

Exo 36:15The length of each curtain was [fn]thirty cubits and four cubits the width of each curtain; the eleven curtains had [fn]the same measurements.

Exo 36:16

Exo 36:16He [fn]joined five curtains by themselves and the other six curtains by themselves.

Exo 36:17

Exo 36:17Moreover, he made fifty loops on the edge of the curtain that was outermost in the first [fn]set, and he made fifty loops on the edge of the curtain that was outermost in the second [fn]set.

Exo 36:18

Exo 36:18He made fifty clasps of [fn]bronze to [fn]join the tent together so that it would be [fn]a unit.

Exo 36:19

Exo 36:19He made a covering for the tent of rams’ skins [fn]dyed red and a covering of porpoise skins above.

Exo 36:20

Then he made^H6213 the boards^H7175 for the tabernacle^H4908 of acacia^H7848 wood^H6086, standing^H5975 upright.

Exo 36:21

Exo 36:21Ten cubits was the length of [fn]each board and one and a half cubits the width of each board.

Exo 36:22

Exo 36:22There were two tenons for each board, [fn]fitted to one another; thus he did for all the boards of the tabernacle.

Exo 36:23

Exo 36:23And he made the boards for the tabernacle: twenty boards [fn]for the south side;

Exo 36:24

Exo 36:24and he made forty bases of silver under the twenty boards; two bases under one board for its two tenons and two bases under another board for its two tenons.

Exo 36:25

Exo 36:25Then for the second side of the tabernacle, on the north side, he made twenty boards,

Exo 36:26

Exo 36:26and their forty bases of silver; two bases under one board and two bases under another board.

Exo 36:27

Exo 36:27For the [fn]rear of the tabernacle, to the west, he made six boards.

Exo 36:28

Exo 36:28And he made two boards for the corners of the [fn]tabernacle at the [fn]rear.

Exo 36:29

Exo 36:29And they were [fn]separated beneath, but were together at their completion at the [fn]top, [fn]at the first ring; thus he did with both of them for the two corners.

Exo 36:30

Exo 36:30And there were eight boards with their bases of silver, sixteen bases, two bases under every board.

Exo 36:31

Then he made^H6213 bars^H1280 of acacia^H7848 wood^H6086, five^H2568 for the boards^H7175 of one^H259 side^H6763 of the tabernacle^H4908,

Exo 36:32

Exo 36:32and five bars for the boards of the [fn]other side of the tabernacle, and five bars for the boards of the tabernacle for the [fn]rear side to the west.

Exo 36:33

Exo 36:33And he made the middle bar to pass through in the [fn]center of the boards from end to end.

Exo 36:34

Exo 36:34He also overlaid the boards with gold and made their rings of gold as holders for the bars and overlaid the bars with gold.

Exo 36:35

Moreover, he made^H6213 the veil^H6532 of [fn]blue^H8504 and purple^H713 and scarlet^H8144 material and fine^H8336 twisted^H7806 linen^H8336; he made^H6213 it with cherubim^H3742, the work^H4639 of a skillful^H2803 designer^H2803.

Exo 36:36

Exo 36:36And he made four pillars of acacia for it and overlaid them with gold, with their hooks of gold; and he cast four bases of silver for them.

Exo 36:37

Exo 36:37And he made a screen for the doorway of the tent, of [fn]blue and purple and scarlet material and fine twisted linen, the work of a [fn]weaver;

Exo 36:38

Exo 36:38and he made its five pillars with their hooks, and he overlaid their tops and their [fn]bands with gold; but their five bases were of [fn]bronze.
