Exo 23:1

“You shall not bear^H5375 a false^H7723 report^H8088; do not join^H7896 your hand^H3027 with a wicked^H7563 man^H7563 to be a malicious^H2555 witness^H5707.

Exo 23:2

Exo 23:2“You shall not follow [fn]the masses in doing evil, nor shall you [fn]testify in a case so as to turn aside after [fn]the masses in order to [fn]cause justice to be turned aside;

Exo 23:3

Exo 23:3nor shall you [fn]be partial to a poor man in his case.

Exo 23:4

“If^H3588 you meet^H6293 your enemy’s^H340 ox^H7794 or^H176 his donkey^H2543 wandering^H8582 away^H8582, you shall surely^H7725 return^H7725 it to him.

Exo 23:5

Exo 23:5“If you see the donkey of one who hates you lying helpless under its load, you shall refrain from leaving it to him, you shall surely release it with him.

Exo 23:6

“You shall not cause^H5186 the justice^H4941 due to your needy^H34 brother to be turned^H5186 aside^H5186 in his case^H7379.

Exo 23:7

Exo 23:7“Keep far from a [fn]false charge, and do not kill the innocent or the righteous, for I will not justify the guilty.

Exo 23:8

“And you shall not take^H3947 a bribe^H7810, for a bribe^H7810 blinds^H5786 the clear-sighted^H6493 and [fn]subverts^H5557 the cause^H1697 of the [fn]just^H6662.

Exo 23:9

“And you shall not oppress^H3905 a sojourner^H1616, since you yourselves^H859 know^H3045 the soul^H5315 of a sojourner^H1616, for you also were sojourners^H1616 in the land^H776 of Egypt^H4714.

Exo 23:10

“Now you shall sow^H2232 your land^H776 for six^H8337 years^H8141 and gather^H622 in^H622 its produce^H8393,

Exo 23:11

Exo 23:11but on the seventh year you shall let it [fn]rest and lie fallow, so that the needy of your people may eat; and whatever they leave the beast of the field may eat. Thus you shall do with your vineyard and your olive grove.

Exo 23:12

“Six^H8337 days^H3117 you are to do^H6213 your work^H4639, but on the seventh^H7637 day^H3117 you shall [fn]rest^H7673 so^H4616 that your ox^H7794 and your donkey^H2543 may [fn]rest^H5117, and the son^H1121 of your maidservant^H519, as well as your sojourner^H1616, may refresh^H5314 themselves.

Exo 23:13

Exo 23:13“Now concerning everything which I have said to you, beware; and do not mention the name of other gods, nor let them be heard [fn]from your mouth.

Exo 23:14

Exo 23:15

Exo 23:15“You shall keep the Feast of Unleavened Bread; for seven days you are to eat unleavened bread, as I commanded you, at the appointed time in the month Abib, for in it you came out of Egypt. And [fn]none shall appear before Me empty-handed.

Exo 23:16

Exo 23:16“Also you shall keep the Feast of the Harvest of the first fruits of your labors from what you sow in the field; also the Feast of the Ingathering at the end of the year when you gather in the fruit of your labors from the field.

Exo 23:17

Exo 23:17“Three times a year all your males shall appear before the Lord Yahweh.

Exo 23:18

Exo 23:19

Yahweh Will Drive Out Israel’s Enemies

Exo 23:20

“Behold^H2009, I am going to send^H7971 an angel^H4397 before^H6440 you to keep^H8104 you along the way^H1870 and to bring^H935 you into the place^H4725 which^H834 I have prepared^H3559.

Exo 23:21

Exo 23:21“Keep watch of yourself before him and listen to his voice; do not be rebellious toward him, for he will not pardon your transgression, since My name is in him.

Exo 23:22

Exo 23:22“But if you truly listen to his voice and do all that I speak, then I will be an enemy to your enemies and an adversary to your adversaries.

Exo 23:23

Exo 23:23“For My angel will go before you and bring you in to the land of the Amorites, the Hittites, the Perizzites, the Canaanites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites; and I will annihilate them.

Exo 23:24

Exo 23:24“You shall not worship their gods, you shall not serve them, and you shall not do according to their deeds; but you shall utterly pull them down and shatter their sacred pillars in pieces.

Exo 23:25

Exo 23:25“But you shall serve Yahweh your God, [fn]and He will bless your bread and your water; and I will remove sickness from your midst.

Exo 23:26

Exo 23:26“There shall be no one miscarrying or barren in your land; I will fulfill the number of your days.

Exo 23:27

Exo 23:27“I will send My terror ahead of you and throw into confusion all the people among whom you come, and I will make all your enemies [fn]turn their backs to you.

Exo 23:28

Exo 23:28“And I will send hornets ahead of you so that they will drive out the Hivites, the Canaanites, and the Hittites before you.

Exo 23:29

Exo 23:29“I will not drive them out before you in a single year, lest the land become desolate and the beasts of the field become too numerous for you.

Exo 23:30

Exo 23:30“I will drive them out before you little by little, until you become fruitful and take the land as an inheritance.

Exo 23:31

Exo 23:31“And I will set your boundary from the [fn]Red Sea to the sea of the Philistines, and from the wilderness to the [fn]River; for I will give the inhabitants of the land into your hand, and you will drive them out from before you.

Exo 23:32

Exo 23:32“You shall cut no covenant with them or with their gods.
