Children and Parents

Eph 6:1

Children^G5043, obey^G5219 your parents^G1118 in the Lord^G2962, for this^G3778 is right^G1342.

Eph 6:2

Eph 6:2HONOR YOUR FATHER AND MOTHER (which is the first commandment with a promise),

Eph 6:3

Eph 6:3SO THAT IT MAY BE WELL WITH YOU, AND THAT YOU MAY LIVE LONG IN THE LAND.

Eph 6:4

Fathers^G3962, do not provoke^G3949 your children^G5043 to^G3949 anger^G3949, but bring^G1625 them up^G1625 in the discipline^G3809 and instruction^G3559 of the Lord^G2962.

Eph 6:5

Slaves^G1401, be obedient^G5219 to those^G3588 who are your [fn]masters^G2962 according^G2596 to the flesh^G4561, with fear^G5401 and trembling^G5156, in the [fn]integrity^G572 of your heart^G2588, as to Christ^G5547;

Eph 6:6

Eph 6:6not [fn]by way of eyeservice, as men-pleasers, but as slaves of Christ, doing the will of God from the [fn]heart,

Eph 6:7

Eph 6:7serving with good will as to the Lord, and not to men,

Eph 6:8

Eph 6:8knowing that whatever good thing each one does, this he will receive back from the Lord, whether slave or free.

Eph 6:9

And masters^G2962, do^G4160 the same^G846 things^G846 to them, giving^G447 up threatening^G547, knowing^G6063 that both^G2532 their Master^G2962 and yours^G4771 is in heaven^G3772, and there is no^G3756 partiality^G4382 with Him.

The Armor of God

Eph 6:10

Finally^G3062, be^G1743 strong^G1743 in the Lord^G2962 and in the might^G2904 of His strength^G2479.

Eph 6:11

Eph 6:11Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil.

Eph 6:12

Eph 6:12For our struggle is not against [fn]flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.

Eph 6:13

Eph 6:13Therefore, take up the full armor of God, so that you will be able to resist in the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm.

Eph 6:14

Eph 6:14Stand firm therefore, HAVING GIRDED YOUR LOINS WITH TRUTH, and HAVING PUT ON THE BREASTPLATE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS,

Eph 6:15

Eph 6:15and having shod YOUR FEET WITH THE PREPARATION OF THE GOSPEL OF PEACE.

Eph 6:16

Eph 6:16 [fn]In addition to all, having taken up the shield of faith with which you will be able to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one,

Eph 6:17also receive THE HELMET OF SALVATION, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God,

Eph 6:19

Eph 6:19as well as on my behalf, that [fn]words may be given to me in the opening of my mouth, to make known with boldness the mystery of the gospel—

Eph 6:20

Eph 6:20for which I am an ambassador in [fn]chains—so that [fn]in proclaiming it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.

Eph 6:21
