The Tablets Rewritten

(Exo 34:1–9 )

“At that time^H6256 Yahweh^H3068 said^H559 to me, ‘Carve^H6458 out^H6458 for yourself two^H8147 tablets^H3871 of stone^H68 like the former^H7223 ones^H7223, and come^H5927 up^H5927 to Me on the mountain^H2022, and make^H6213 an ark^H727 of wood^H6086 for yourself.

Deu 10:2

Deu 10:2‘And I will write on the tablets the words that were on the former tablets which you shattered, and you shall put them in the ark.’

Deu 10:3

Deu 10:3“So I made an ark of acacia wood and carved out two tablets of stone like the former ones and went up on the mountain with the two tablets in my hand.

Deu 10:4

Deu 10:4“And He wrote on the tablets, like the former writing, the Ten [fn]Commandments which Yahweh had spoken to you on the mountain from the midst of the fire on the day of the assembly; and Yahweh gave them to me.

Deu 10:5

Deu 10:5“Then I turned and came down from the mountain and put the tablets in the ark which I had made; and there they are, as Yahweh commanded me.”

Deu 10:6

(Now the sons^H1121 of Israel^H3478 set^H5265 out^H5265 from [fn]Beeroth^H885 Bene-jaakan^H885 to Moserah^H4149. There^H8033 Aaron^H175 died^H4191, and there^H8033 he was buried^H6912, and Eleazar^H499 his son^H1121 ministered^H3547 as^H3547 priest^H3547 in^H8478 his place^H8478.

Deu 10:7

Deu 10:7From there they set out to Gudgodah, and from Gudgodah to Jotbathah, a land of brooks of water.

Deu 10:8

Deu 10:8At that time Yahweh set apart the tribe of Levi to carry the ark of the covenant of Yahweh, to stand before Yahweh to minister for Him and to bless in His name to this day.

Deu 10:9

Deu 10:9Therefore, Levi does not have a portion or inheritance with his brothers; Yahweh is his inheritance, just as Yahweh your God spoke to him.)

Deu 10:10

“I, moreover, stayed^H5975 on the mountain^H2022 forty^H705 days^H3117 and forty^H705 nights^H3915 like the first^H7223 time^H3117, and Yahweh^H3068 listened^H8085 to me that time^H6471 also^H1571; Yahweh^H3068 was^H14 not willing^H14 to destroy^H7843 you.

Deu 10:11

Deu 10:11“Then Yahweh said to me, ‘Arise, go on your journey ahead of the people, that they may go in and possess the land which I swore to their fathers to give them.’

Deu 10:12

“So now^H6258, Israel^H3478, what^H4100 does Yahweh^H3068 your God^H430 ask^H7592 from you, but to [fn]fear^H3372 Yahweh^H3068 your God^H430, to walk^H1980 in all^H3605 His ways^H1870 and love^H157 Him, and to serve^H5647 Yahweh^H3068 your God^H430 with all^H3605 your heart^H3824 and with all^H3605 your soul^H5315,

Deu 10:13

Deu 10:13and to keep the commandments of Yahweh and His statutes which I am commanding you today for your good?

Deu 10:14

Deu 10:14“Behold, to Yahweh your God belong heaven and the [fn]highest heavens, the earth and all that is in it.

Deu 10:15

Deu 10:15“Yet on your fathers did Yahweh set His affection to love them, and He chose their seed after them, even you above all peoples, as it is this day.

Deu 10:16

Deu 10:16“So circumcise [fn]your heart, and stiffen your neck no longer.

Deu 10:17

Deu 10:17“For Yahweh your God is the God of gods and the Lord of lords, the great, the mighty, and the fearsome God who does not show partiality nor take a bribe.
