Psalm 81 :: Hebrew Names Version (HNV)

Psa 81:1

Psa 81:1For the Chief Musician. On the gittit. By Asaf. Sing aloud to God, our strength! Make a joyful shout to the God of Ya`akov!

Psa 81:2

Psa 81:2Raise a song, and bring here the tambourine, The pleasant lyre with the harp.

Psa 81:3

Psa 81:3Blow the shofar at the New Moon, At the full moon, on our feast day.

Psa 81:4

Psa 81:4For it is a statute for Yisra'el, An ordinance of the God of Ya`akov.

Psa 81:5

Psa 81:5He appointed it in Yosef for a testimony, When he went out over the land of Mitzrayim, I heard a language that I didn't know.

Psa 81:6

Psa 81:6"I removed his shoulder from the burden. His hands were freed from the basket.

Psa 81:7

Psa 81:7You called in trouble, and I delivered you. I answered you in the secret place of thunder. I tested you at the waters of Merivah." Selah.

Psa 81:8

Psa 81:8"Hear, my people, and I will testify to you, Yisra'el, if you would listen to me!

Psa 81:9

Psa 81:9There shall be no strange god in you, Neither shall you worship any foreign god.

Psa 81:10

Psa 81:10I am the LORD, your God, Who brought you up out of the land of Mitzrayim. Open your mouth wide, and I will fill it.

Psa 81:11

Psa 81:11But my people didn't listen to my voice. Yisra'el desired none of me.

Psa 81:12

Psa 81:12So I let them go after the stubbornness of their hearts, That they might walk in their own counsels.

Psa 81:13

Psa 81:13Oh that my people would listen to me, That Yisra'el would walk in my ways!

Psa 81:14

Psa 81:14I would soon subdue their enemies, And turn my hand against their adversaries.

Psa 81:15

Psa 81:15The haters of the LORD would cringe before him, And their punishment would last forever.

Psa 81:16

Psa 81:16But he would have also fed them with the finest of the wheat. I will satisfy you with honey out of the rock."
