God Implored to Rescue His People from Their Calamities.

Psa 80:1For the Chief Musician. To the tune "The Lilies of the Covenant." A Psalm by Asaf. Hear us, Shepherd of Yisra'el, You who lead Yosef like a flock, You who sit above the Keruvim, shine forth.

Psa 80:2

Psa 80:2Before Efrayim and Binyamin and Menashsheh, stir up your might! Come to save us!

Psa 80:3

Psa 80:3Turn us again, God. Cause your face to shine, And we will be saved.

Psa 80:4LORD God Tzva'ot, How long will you be angry against the prayer of your people?

Psa 80:5

Psa 80:5You have fed them with the bread of tears, And given them tears to drink in large measure.

Psa 80:6You make us a source of contention to our neighbors. Our enemies laugh among themselves.

Psa 80:7

Psa 80:7Turn us again, God Tzva'ot. Cause your face to shine, And we will be saved.

Psa 80:8You brought a vine out of Mitzrayim. You drove out the nations, and planted it.

Psa 80:9

Psa 80:9You cleared the ground for it. It took deep root, and filled the land.

Psa 80:10The mountains were covered with its shadow. Its boughs were like God's cedars.

Psa 80:11It sent out its branches to the sea, Its shoots to the River.

Psa 80:12

Psa 80:12Why have you broken down its walls, So that all those who pass by the way pluck it?

Psa 80:13

Psa 80:13The boar out of the wood ravages it. The wild animals of the field feed on it.

Psa 80:14

Psa 80:14Turn again, we beg you, God Tzva'ot. Look down from heaven, and see, and visit this vine,

Psa 80:15

Psa 80:15The stock which your right hand planted, The branch that you made strong for yourself.

Psa 80:16

Psa 80:16It's burned with fire. It's cut down. They perish at your rebuke.

Psa 80:17

Psa 80:17Let your hand be on the man of your right hand, On the son of man whom you made strong for yourself.

Psa 80:18

Psa 80:18So we will not turn away from you. Revive us, and we will call on your name.

Psa 80:19

Psa 80:19Turn us again, LORD God Tzva'ot. Cause your face to shine, and we will be saved.
