Exodus 24 :: Hebrew Names Version (HNV)

Exo 24:1He said to Moshe, "Come up to the LORD, you, and Aharon, Nadav, and Avihu, and seventy of the Zakenim of Yisra'el; and worship from a distance.
Exo 24:2Moshe alone shall come near to the LORD, but they shall not come near, neither shall the people go up with him."
Exo 24:3Moshe came and told the people all the words of the LORD, and all the ordinances; and all the people answered with one voice, and said, "All the words which the LORD has spoken will we do."
Exo 24:4Moshe wrote all the words of the LORD, and rose up early in the morning, and built an altar under the mountain, and twelve pillars for the twelve tribes of Yisra'el.
Exo 24:5He sent young men of the children of Yisra'el, who offered burnt offerings and sacrificed peace-offerings of oxen to the LORD.
Exo 24:6Moshe took half of the blood and put it in basins, and half of the blood he sprinkled on the altar.
Exo 24:7He took the book of the covenant and read it in the hearing of the people, and they said, "All that the LORD has spoken will we do, and be obedient."
Exo 24:8Moshe took the blood, and sprinkled it on the people, and said, "Look, this is the blood of the covenant, which the LORD has made with you concerning all these words."
Exo 24:9Then Moshe, Aharon, Nadav, Avihu, and seventy of the Zakenim of Yisra'el went up.
Exo 24:10They saw the God of Yisra'el. Under his feet was like a paved work of sappir stone, like the skies for clearness.
Exo 24:11He didn't lay his hand on the nobles of the children of Yisra'el. They saw God, and ate and drank.
Exo 24:12The LORD said to Moshe, "Come up to me on the mountain, and stay here, and I will give you the tables of stone with the law and the commands that I have written, that you may teach them."
Exo 24:13Moshe rose up with Yehoshua, his servant, and Moshe went up onto God's Mountain.
Exo 24:14He said to the Zakenim, "Wait here for us, until we come again to you. Behold, Aharon and Hur are with you. Whoever is involved in a dispute can go to them."
Exo 24:15Moshe went up on the mountain, and the cloud covered the mountain.
Exo 24:16The glory of the LORD settled on Mount Sinai, and the cloud covered it six days. The seventh day he called to Moshe out of the midst of the cloud.
Exo 24:17The appearance of the glory of the LORD was like devouring fire on the top of the mountain in the eyes of the children of Yisra'el.
Exo 24:18Moshe entered into the midst of the cloud, and went up on the mountain; and Moshe was on the mountain forty days and forty nights.
