1Ch 6:1The sons of Levi: Gershon, Kehat, and Merari.

1Ch 6:2

1Ch 6:2The sons of Kehat: `Amram, Yitzhar, and Hevron, and `Uzzi'el.

1Ch 6:3

1Ch 6:3The children of `Amram: Aharon, and Moshe, and Miryam. The sons of Aharon: Nadav, and Avihu, El`azar, and Itamar.

1Ch 6:4

1Ch 6:4El`azar became the father of Pinechas, Pinechas became the father of Avishua,

1Ch 6:5

1Ch 6:5and Avishua became the father of Bukki, and Bukki became the father of `Uzzi,

1Ch 6:6

1Ch 6:6and `Uzzi became the father of Zerachyah, and Zerachyah became the father of Merayot,

1Ch 6:7

1Ch 6:7Merayot became the father of Amaryah, and Amaryah became the father of Achituv,

1Ch 6:8

1Ch 6:8and Achituv became the father of Tzadok, and Tzadok became the father of Achima`atz,

1Ch 6:9and Achima`atz became the father of `Azaryah, and `Azaryah became the father of Yochanan,

1Ch 6:10and Yochanan became the father of `Azaryah, (he it is who executed the Kohen's office in the house that Shlomo built in Yerushalayim),

1Ch 6:11

1Ch 6:11and `Azaryah became the father of Amaryah, and Amaryah became the father of Achituv,

1Ch 6:12

1Ch 6:12and Achituv became the father of Tzadok, and Tzadok became the father of Shallum,

1Ch 6:13

1Ch 6:13and Shallum became the father of Hilkiyah, and Hilkiyah became the father of `Azaryah,

1Ch 6:14

1Ch 6:14and `Azaryah became the father of Serayah, and Serayah became the father of Yehotzadak;

1Ch 6:15

1Ch 6:15Yehotzadak went into captivity, when the LORD carried away Yehudah and Yerushalayim by the hand of Nevukhadnetztzar.

1Ch 6:16

1Ch 6:16The sons of Levi: Gershom, Kehat, and Merari.

1Ch 6:17

1Ch 6:17These are the names of the sons of Gershom: Livni and Shim`i.

1Ch 6:18

1Ch 6:18The sons of Kehat were `Amram, and Yitzhar, and Hevron, and `Uzzi'el.

1Ch 6:19

1Ch 6:19The sons of Merari: Machli and Mushi. These are the families of the Levites according to their fathers' houses.

1Ch 6:20Of Gershom: Livni his son, Yachat his son, Zimmah his son,

1Ch 6:21Yo'ach his son, `Iddo his son, Zerach his son, Ye'aterai his son.

1Ch 6:22The sons of Kehat: `Amminadav his son, Korach his son, Assir his son,

1Ch 6:23Elkana his son, and Avi'asaf his son, and Assir his son,

1Ch 6:24Tachat his son, Uri'el his son, `Uzziyah his son, and Sha'ul his son.

1Ch 6:25The sons of Elkana: `Amasai, and Achimot.

1Ch 6:26

1Ch 6:26As for Elkana, the sons of Elkana: Tzafai his son, and Nachat his son,

1Ch 6:27Eli'av his son, Yerocham his son, Elkana his son.

1Ch 6:28

1Ch 6:28The sons of Shemu'el: the firstborn Yo'el, and the second Aviyah.

1Ch 6:29

1Ch 6:29The sons of Merari: Machli, Livni his son, Shim`i his son, Uzzah his son,

1Ch 6:30Shim`a his son, Haggiyah his son, `Asayah his son.

1Ch 6:31

1Ch 6:31These are they whom David set over the service of song in the house of the LORD, after that the ark had rest.

1Ch 6:32They ministered with song before the tent of the tent of meeting, until Shlomo had built the house of the LORD in Yerushalayim: and they waited on their office according to their order.

1Ch 6:33

1Ch 6:33These are those who waited, and their sons. Of the sons of the Kehati: Heman the singer, the son of Yo'el, the son of Shemu'el,

1Ch 6:34the son of Elkana, the son of Yerocham, the son of Eli'el, the son of To'ach,

1Ch 6:35

1Ch 6:35the son of Tzuf, the son of Elkana, the son of Machat, the son of `Amasai,

1Ch 6:36

1Ch 6:36the son of Elkana, the son of Yo'el, the son of `Azaryah, the son of Tzefanyah,

1Ch 6:37

1Ch 6:37the son of Tachat, the son of Assir, the son of Avi'asaf, the son of Korach,

1Ch 6:38

1Ch 6:38the son of Yitzhar, the son of Kehat, the son of Levi, the son of Yisra'el.

1Ch 6:39

1Ch 6:39His brother Asaf, who stood on his right hand, even Asaf the son of Berekhyah, the son of Shim`a,

1Ch 6:40the son of Mikha'el, the son of Ba`aseyah, the son of Malkiyah,

1Ch 6:44On the left hand their brothers the sons of Merari: Etan the son of Kishi, the son of `Avdi, the son of Mallukh,

1Ch 6:46the son of Amtzi, the son of Bani, the son of Shemer,

1Ch 6:48Their brothers the Levites were appointed for all the service of the tent of the house of God.

1Ch 6:49

1Ch 6:49But Aharon and his sons offered on the altar of burnt offering, and on the altar of incense, for all the work of the most holy place, and to make atonement for Yisra'el, according to all that Moshe the servant of God had commanded.

1Ch 6:50

1Ch 6:50These are the sons of Aharon: El`azar his son, Pinechas his son, Avishua his son,

1Ch 6:51

1Ch 6:51Bukki his son, `Uzzi his son, Zerachyah his son,

1Ch 6:52

1Ch 6:52Merayot his son, Amaryah his son, Achituv his son,

1Ch 6:53

1Ch 6:53Tzadok his son, Achima`atz his son.

1Ch 6:54

1Ch 6:54Now these are their dwelling-places according to their encampments in their borders: to the sons of Aharon, of the families of the Kehati (for theirs was the first lot),

1Ch 6:55to them they gave Hevron in the land of Yehudah, and the suburbs of it round about it;

1Ch 6:56

1Ch 6:56but the fields of the city, and the villages of it, they gave to Kalev the son of Yefunneh.

1Ch 6:57

1Ch 6:57To the sons of Aharon they gave the cities of refuge, Hevron; Livna also with its suburbs, and Yattir, and Eshtemoa with its suburbs,

1Ch 6:58

1Ch 6:58and Hilen with its suburbs, Devir with its suburbs,

1Ch 6:59

1Ch 6:59and `Ashan with its suburbs, and Beth-shemesh with its suburbs;

1Ch 6:60

1Ch 6:60and out of the tribe of Binyamin, Geva with its suburbs, and `Allemet with its suburbs, and `Anatot with its suburbs. All their cities throughout their families were thirteen cities.

1Ch 6:61

1Ch 6:61To the rest of the sons of Kehat were given by lot, out of the family of the tribe, out of the half-tribe, the half of Menashsheh, ten cities.

1Ch 6:62

1Ch 6:62To the sons of Gershom, according to their families, out of the tribe of Yissakhar, and out of the tribe of Asher, and out of the tribe of Naftali, and out of the tribe of Menashsheh in Bashan, thirteen cities.

1Ch 6:63

1Ch 6:63To the sons of Merari were given by lot, according to their families, out of the tribe of Re'uven, and out of the tribe of Gad, and out of the tribe of Zevulun, twelve cities.

1Ch 6:64

1Ch 6:64The children of Yisra'el gave to the Levites the cities with their suburbs.

1Ch 6:65

1Ch 6:65They gave by lot out of the tribe of the children of Yehudah, and out of the tribe of the children of Shim`on, and out of the tribe of the children of Binyamin, these cities which are mentioned by name.

1Ch 6:66

1Ch 6:66Some of the families of the sons of Kehat had cities of their borders out of the tribe of Efrayim.

1Ch 6:67

1Ch 6:67They gave to them the cities of refuge, Shekhem in the hill-country of Efrayim with its suburbs; Gezer also with its suburbs,

1Ch 6:68

1Ch 6:68and Yokme`am with its suburbs, and Beit-Horon with its suburbs,

1Ch 6:69

1Ch 6:69and Ayalon with its suburbs, and Gath-rimmon with its suburbs;

1Ch 6:70

1Ch 6:70and out of the half-tribe of Menashsheh, `Aner with its suburbs, and Bil`am with its suburbs, for the rest of the family of the sons of Kehat.

1Ch 6:71

1Ch 6:71To the sons of Gershom were given, out of the family of the half-tribe of Menashsheh, Galon in Bashan with its suburbs, and `Ashtarot with its suburbs;

1Ch 6:72

1Ch 6:72and out of the tribe of Yissakhar, Kedesh with its suburbs, Daverat with its suburbs,

1Ch 6:73

1Ch 6:73and Ramot with its suburbs, and `Anam with its suburbs;

1Ch 6:74

1Ch 6:74and out of the tribe of Asher, Mashal with its suburbs, and `Avdon with its suburbs,

1Ch 6:75

1Ch 6:75and Hukok with its suburbs, and Rechov with its suburbs;

1Ch 6:76

1Ch 6:76and out of the tribe of Naftali, Kedesh in the Galil with its suburbs, and Hammon with its suburbs, and Kiryatayim with its suburbs.

1Ch 6:77

1Ch 6:77To the rest of the Levites, the sons of Merari, were given, out of the tribe of Zevulun, Rimmono with its suburbs, Tavor with its suburbs;

1Ch 6:78

1Ch 6:78and beyond the Yarden at Yericho, on the east side of the Yarden, were given them, out of the tribe of Re'uven, Betzer in the wilderness with its suburbs, and Yahtzah with its suburbs,

1Ch 6:79

1Ch 6:79and Kedemot with its suburbs, and Mefa`at with its suburbs;

1Ch 6:80

1Ch 6:80and out of the tribe of Gad, Ramot in Gil`ad with its suburbs, and Machanayim with its suburbs,

1Ch 6:81

1Ch 6:81and Heshbon with its suburbs, and Ya`zer with its suburbs.
