Proverbs 15 :: English Standard Version (ESV)

but a harsh word stirs up anger.

but the mouths of fools pour out folly.

keeping watch on the evil and the good.

but perverseness in it breaks the spirit.

but whoever heeds reproof is prudent.

not so the hearts of fools.[fn]

how much more the hearts of the children of man!

but with many advisers they succeed.

and a word in season, how good it is!

that he may turn away from Sheol beneath.

but maintains the widow’s boundaries.

but gracious words are pure.

and good news refreshes[fn] the bones.

will dwell among the wise.
