Sng 6:1Whither is thy beloved gone, Thou fairest among women? Whither is thy beloved turned aside? And we will seek him with thee.

Sng 6:2My beloved is gone down into his garden, to the beds of spices, To feed in the gardens and to gather lilies.

Sng 6:3I am my beloved's, and my beloved is mine: He feedeth his flock among the lilies.

Sng 6:4Thou art fair, my love, as Tirzah, Comely as Jerusalem, Terrible as troops with banners:

Sng 6:5Turn away thine eyes from me, For they overcome me. Thy hair is as a flock of goats On the slopes of Gilead.

Sng 6:6Thy teeth are like a flock of sheep Which go up from the washing; Which have all borne twins, And none is barren among them.

Sng 6:7As a piece of a pomegranate are thy temples Behind thy veil.

Sng 6:8There are threescore queens, and fourscore concubines, And virgins without number:

Sng 6:9My dove, mine undefiled, is but one; She is the only one of her mother, She is the choice one of her that bore her. The daughters saw her, and they called her blessed; The queens and the concubines, and they praised her.

Sng 6:11I went down into the garden of nuts, To see the verdure of the valley, To see whether the vine budded, Whether the pomegranates blossomed.

In 1867, John Nelson Darby translated the New Testament from Greek into English. Further revisions were done in 1872 and 1884. Darby’s work was first published as The Holy Scriptures: A New Translation from the Original Languages by J. N. Darby. After Darby’s death in 1882, some of his students worked together to produce the complete Darby Bible based on the Masoretic Hebrew text, Darby’s German (Elberfelder), and the French (Pau) translations. In 1890, the first complete Darby Bible was published in English. This translation of the Bible is in the public domain.
