Psalm 95 :: Darby Translation (DBY)

Psa 95:1Come, let us sing aloud to Jehovah, let us shout for joy to the rock of our salvation;
Psa 95:2Let us come before his face with thanksgiving; let us shout aloud unto him with psalms.
Psa 95:3For Jehovah is a great God, and a great king above all gods.
Psa 95:4In his hand are the deep places of the earth; the heights of the mountains are his also:
Psa 95:5The sea is his, and he made it, and his hands formed the dry land.
Psa 95:6Come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before Jehovah our Maker.
Psa 95:7For he is our God; and we are the people of his pasture and the sheep of his hand. To-day if ye hear his voice,
Psa 95:8Harden not your heart, as at Meribah, as in the day of Massah, in the wilderness;
Psa 95:9When your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my work.
Psa 95:10Forty years was I grieved with the generation, and said, It is a people that do err in their heart, and they have not known my ways;
Psa 95:11So that I swore in mine anger, that they should not enter into my rest.

In 1867, John Nelson Darby translated the New Testament from Greek into English. Further revisions were done in 1872 and 1884. Darby’s work was first published as The Holy Scriptures: A New Translation from the Original Languages by J. N. Darby. After Darby’s death in 1882, some of his students worked together to produce the complete Darby Bible based on the Masoretic Hebrew text, Darby’s German (Elberfelder), and the French (Pau) translations. In 1890, the first complete Darby Bible was published in English. This translation of the Bible is in the public domain.
