Psalm 92 :: Darby Translation (DBY)

Psa 92:1{A Psalm, a Song, for the Sabbath day.} It is good to give thanks unto Jehovah, and to sing psalms unto thy name, O Most High;
Psa 92:2To declare thy loving-kindness in the morning, and thy faithfulness in the nights,
Psa 92:3Upon an instrument of ten strings and upon the lute; upon the Higgaion with the harp.
Psa 92:4For thou, Jehovah, hast made me glad through thy work; I will triumph in the works of thy hands.
Psa 92:5Jehovah, how great are thy works! Thy thoughts are very deep:
Psa 92:6A brutish man knoweth not, neither doth a fool understand it.
Psa 92:7When the wicked spring as the grass, and when all the workers of iniquity flourish, it is that they may be destroyed for ever.
Psa 92:8And thou, Jehovah, art on high for evermore.
Psa 92:9For lo, thine enemies, O Jehovah, for lo, thine enemies shall perish; all the workers of iniquity shall be scattered.
Psa 92:10But my horn shalt thou exalt like a buffalo's: I shall be anointed with fresh oil.
Psa 92:11And mine eye shall see its desire on mine enemies; mine ears shall hear it of the evil-doers that rise up against me.
Psa 92:12The righteous shall shoot forth like a palm-tree; he shall grow like a cedar on Lebanon.
Psa 92:13Those that are planted in the house of Jehovah shall flourish in the courts of our God:
Psa 92:14They are still vigorous in old age, they are full of sap and green;
Psa 92:15To shew that Jehovah is upright: he is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him.

In 1867, John Nelson Darby translated the New Testament from Greek into English. Further revisions were done in 1872 and 1884. Darby’s work was first published as The Holy Scriptures: A New Translation from the Original Languages by J. N. Darby. After Darby’s death in 1882, some of his students worked together to produce the complete Darby Bible based on the Masoretic Hebrew text, Darby’s German (Elberfelder), and the French (Pau) translations. In 1890, the first complete Darby Bible was published in English. This translation of the Bible is in the public domain.
