Psalm 66 :: Darby Translation (DBY)

Psa 66:1{To the chief Musician. A Song: a Psalm.} Shout aloud unto God, all the earth:
Psa 66:2Sing forth the glory of his name, make his praise glorious;
Psa 66:3Say unto God, How terrible are thy works! because of the greatness of thy strength, thine enemies come cringing unto thee.
Psa 66:4All the earth shall worship thee, and sing psalms unto thee: they shall sing forth thy name. Selah.
Psa 66:5Come and see the works of God: he is terrible in his doings toward the children of men.
Psa 66:6He turned the sea into dry land; they went through the river on foot: there did we rejoice in him.
Psa 66:7He ruleth by his power for ever; his eyes observe the nations: let not the rebellious exalt themselves. Selah.
Psa 66:8Bless our God, ye peoples, and make the voice of his praise to be heard;
Psa 66:9Who hath set our soul in life, and suffereth not our feet to be moved.
Psa 66:10For thou, O God, hast proved us: thou hast tried us, as silver is tried.
Psa 66:11Thou broughtest us into a net, thou didst lay a heavy burden upon our loins;
Psa 66:12Thou didst cause men to ride over our head; we went through fire and through water: but thou hast brought us out into abundance.
Psa 66:13I will go into thy house with burnt-offerings; I will perform my vows to thee,
Psa 66:14Which my lips have uttered, and my mouth hath spoken, when I was in trouble.
Psa 66:15I will offer up unto thee burnt-offerings of fatted beasts, with the incense of rams; I will offer bullocks with goats. Selah.
Psa 66:16Come, hear, all ye that fear God, and I will declare what he hath done for my soul.
Psa 66:17I called unto him with my mouth, and he was extolled with my tongue.
Psa 66:18Had I regarded iniquity in my heart, the Lord would not hear.
Psa 66:19But God hath heard; he hath attended to the voice of my prayer.
Psa 66:20Blessed be God, who hath not turned away my prayer, nor his loving-kindness from me!

In 1867, John Nelson Darby translated the New Testament from Greek into English. Further revisions were done in 1872 and 1884. Darby’s work was first published as The Holy Scriptures: A New Translation from the Original Languages by J. N. Darby. After Darby’s death in 1882, some of his students worked together to produce the complete Darby Bible based on the Masoretic Hebrew text, Darby’s German (Elberfelder), and the French (Pau) translations. In 1890, the first complete Darby Bible was published in English. This translation of the Bible is in the public domain.
