Psalm 36 :: Darby Translation (DBY)

Psa 36:1{To the chief Musician. A Psalm of the servant of Jehovah; of David.} The transgression of the wicked uttereth within my heart, There is no fear of God before his eyes.
Psa 36:2For he flattereth himself in his own eyes, even when his iniquity is found to be hateful.
Psa 36:3The words of his mouth are wickedness and deceit: he hath left off to be wise, to do good.
Psa 36:4He deviseth wickedness up on his bed; he setteth himself in a way that is not good: he abhorreth not evil.
Psa 36:5Jehovah, thy loving-kindness is in the heavens, and thy faithfulness reacheth unto the clouds.
Psa 36:6Thy righteousness is like the high mountains; thy judgments are a great deep: thou, Jehovah, preservest man and beast.
Psa 36:7How precious is thy loving-kindness, O God! So the sons of men take refuge under the shadow of thy wings.
Psa 36:8They shall be abundantly satisfied with the fatness of thy house; and thou wilt make them drink of the river of thy pleasures.
Psa 36:9For with thee is the fountain of life: in thy light shall we see light.
Psa 36:10Continue thy loving-kindness unto them that know thee, and thy righteousness to the upright in heart;
Psa 36:11Let not the foot of pride come against me, and let not the hand of the wicked drive me away.
Psa 36:12There are the workers of iniquity fallen: they are cast down, and are not able to rise.

In 1867, John Nelson Darby translated the New Testament from Greek into English. Further revisions were done in 1872 and 1884. Darby’s work was first published as The Holy Scriptures: A New Translation from the Original Languages by J. N. Darby. After Darby’s death in 1882, some of his students worked together to produce the complete Darby Bible based on the Masoretic Hebrew text, Darby’s German (Elberfelder), and the French (Pau) translations. In 1890, the first complete Darby Bible was published in English. This translation of the Bible is in the public domain.
