Psalm 32 :: Darby Translation (DBY)

Psa 32:1{Of David. Instruction.} Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered!
Psa 32:2Blessed is the man unto whom Jehovah reckoneth not iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile!
Psa 32:3When I kept silence, my bones waxed old, through my groaning all the day long.
Psa 32:4For day and night thy hand was heavy upon me; my moisture was turned into the drought of summer. Selah.
Psa 32:5I acknowledged my sin unto thee, and mine iniquity I covered not; I said, I will confess my transgressions unto Jehovah, and *thou* forgavest the iniquity of my sin. Selah.
Psa 32:6For this shall every one that is godly pray unto thee at a time when thou mayest be found: surely in the floods of great waters they will not reach him.
Psa 32:7Thou art a hiding-place for me; thou preservest me from trouble; thou dost encompass me with songs of deliverance. Selah.
Psa 32:8I will instruct thee and teach thee the way in which thou shalt go; I will counsel thee with mine eye upon thee.
Psa 32:9Be ye not as a horse, as a mule, which have no understanding: whose trappings must be bit and bridle, for restraint, or they will not come unto thee.
Psa 32:10Many sorrows hath the wicked; but he that confideth in Jehovah, loving-kindness shall encompass him.
Psa 32:11Rejoice in Jehovah, and be glad, ye righteous; and shout for joy, all ye upright in heart.

In 1867, John Nelson Darby translated the New Testament from Greek into English. Further revisions were done in 1872 and 1884. Darby’s work was first published as The Holy Scriptures: A New Translation from the Original Languages by J. N. Darby. After Darby’s death in 1882, some of his students worked together to produce the complete Darby Bible based on the Masoretic Hebrew text, Darby’s German (Elberfelder), and the French (Pau) translations. In 1890, the first complete Darby Bible was published in English. This translation of the Bible is in the public domain.
