Psalm 25 :: Darby Translation (DBY)

Psa 25:1{A Psalm of David.} Unto thee, Jehovah, do I lift up my soul.
Psa 25:2My God, I confide in thee; let me not be ashamed, let not mine enemies triumph over me.
Psa 25:3Yea, none that wait on thee shall be ashamed: they shall be ashamed that deal treacherously without cause.
Psa 25:4Make me to know thy ways, O Jehovah; teach me thy paths.
Psa 25:5Make me to walk in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day.
Psa 25:6Remember, Jehovah, thy tender mercies and thy loving-kindnesses; for they are from everlasting.
Psa 25:7Remember not the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions; according to thy loving-kindness remember thou me, for thy goodness' sake, Jehovah.
Psa 25:8Good and upright is Jehovah; therefore will he instruct sinners in the way:
Psa 25:9The meek will he guide in judgment, and the meek will he teach his way.
Psa 25:10All the paths of Jehovah are loving-kindness and truth for such as keep his covenant and his testimonies.
Psa 25:11For thy name's sake, O Jehovah, thou wilt indeed pardon mine iniquity; for it is great.
Psa 25:12What man is he that feareth Jehovah? him will he instruct in the way that he should choose.
Psa 25:13His soul shall dwell in prosperity, and his seed shall inherit the earth.
Psa 25:14The secret of Jehovah is with them that fear him, that he may make known his covenant to them.
Psa 25:15Mine eyes are ever toward Jehovah; for he will bring my feet out of the net.
Psa 25:16Turn toward me, and be gracious unto me; for I am solitary and afflicted.
Psa 25:17The troubles of my heart are increased: bring me out of my distresses;
Psa 25:18Consider mine affliction and my travail, and forgive all my sins.
Psa 25:19Consider mine enemies, for they are many, and they hate me with cruel hatred.
Psa 25:20Keep my soul, and deliver me: let me not be ashamed; for I trust in thee.
Psa 25:21Let integrity and uprightness preserve me; for I wait on thee.
Psa 25:22Redeem Israel, O God, out of all his troubles.

In 1867, John Nelson Darby translated the New Testament from Greek into English. Further revisions were done in 1872 and 1884. Darby’s work was first published as The Holy Scriptures: A New Translation from the Original Languages by J. N. Darby. After Darby’s death in 1882, some of his students worked together to produce the complete Darby Bible based on the Masoretic Hebrew text, Darby’s German (Elberfelder), and the French (Pau) translations. In 1890, the first complete Darby Bible was published in English. This translation of the Bible is in the public domain.
