Psalm 24 :: Darby Translation (DBY)

Psa 24:1{Of David. A Psalm.} The earth is Jehovah's, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.
Psa 24:2For it was he that founded it upon seas, and established it upon floods.
Psa 24:3Who shall ascend into the mount of Jehovah? and who shall stand in his holy place?
Psa 24:4He that hath blameless hands and a pure heart; who lifteth not up his soul unto vanity, nor sweareth deceitfully:
Psa 24:5He shall receive blessing from Jehovah, and righteousness from the God of his salvation.
Psa 24:6This is the generation of them that seek unto him, that seek thy face, O Jacob. Selah.
Psa 24:7Lift up your heads, ye gates, and be ye lifted up, ye everlasting doors, and the King of glory shall come in.
Psa 24:8Who is this King of glory? Jehovah strong and mighty, Jehovah mighty in battle.
Psa 24:9Lift up your heads, ye gates; yea, lift up, ye everlasting doors, and the King of glory shall come in.
Psa 24:10Who is he, this King of glory? Jehovah of hosts, he is the King of glory. Selah.

In 1867, John Nelson Darby translated the New Testament from Greek into English. Further revisions were done in 1872 and 1884. Darby’s work was first published as The Holy Scriptures: A New Translation from the Original Languages by J. N. Darby. After Darby’s death in 1882, some of his students worked together to produce the complete Darby Bible based on the Masoretic Hebrew text, Darby’s German (Elberfelder), and the French (Pau) translations. In 1890, the first complete Darby Bible was published in English. This translation of the Bible is in the public domain.
