Psalm 13 :: Darby Translation (DBY)

Psa 13:1{To the chief Musician. A Psalm of David.} How long, Jehovah, wilt thou forget me for ever? how long wilt thou hide thy face from me?
Psa 13:2How long shall I take counsel in my soul, with sorrow in my heart daily? how long shall mine enemy be exalted over me?
Psa 13:3Consider, answer me, O Jehovah my God! lighten mine eyes, lest I sleep the sleep of death;
Psa 13:4Lest mine enemy say, I have prevailed against him! lest mine adversaries be joyful when I am moved.
Psa 13:5As for me, I have confided in thy loving-kindness; my heart shall be joyful in thy salvation.
Psa 13:6I will sing unto Jehovah, for he hath dealt bountifully with me.

In 1867, John Nelson Darby translated the New Testament from Greek into English. Further revisions were done in 1872 and 1884. Darby’s work was first published as The Holy Scriptures: A New Translation from the Original Languages by J. N. Darby. After Darby’s death in 1882, some of his students worked together to produce the complete Darby Bible based on the Masoretic Hebrew text, Darby’s German (Elberfelder), and the French (Pau) translations. In 1890, the first complete Darby Bible was published in English. This translation of the Bible is in the public domain.
